Sensitive/Dry Skin

Looking for recommendations for skin care. I feel like I've tried almost everything. I have dry, sensitive, acne prone skin.Everytime I go to stores, I get different answers and now I'm just getting confused. I'vetried Tatcha, Bioscance, Josie Maran, Youth to the People, and Ole. Beentold to look into Dr. Jart tigergrass, origins, farmacy, and fresh. Anyone have any experiences with these? I need everything; cleanser, exfoliation, moisturizer, etc. Help?

Re: Sensitive/Dry Skin

I love DE products.  It's the only skincare line I buy from Sephora.  The vitamin C, the glycolic frambose, the retinol, and the baby facial are my favorites.  The protini is very very good.  I have tried samples of Tatcha.  The problem with Tatcha is the packaging and some fragrance (which I try to steer clear of).  Packaging is so important!  Many brands include great ingredients, but have them in jar packaging, exposing the ingredients to air and light which degrade the ingredients.  You're basically flushing money down the drain with bad packaging.

RE: Sensitive/Dry Skin

If you’ve tried it all, try a professional skincare line. Sephora carries Murad and Dermalogica. I also recommend Image. They’re all fairly affordable and very comprehensive brands that have lines for many different skin types and concerns.

have you had any experience with any of these? I was told...

have you had any experience with any of these? I was told to try the AHA/BHA cleanser from Murad, but that's about it.

RE: Sensitive/Dry Skin

I have similar skin and I’ve had to mix and match brands to find the right mix, and I’ve practically made it a hobby but it really pays off. The products I use: Pure organic Jojoba for cleansing oil (I find that any formulated cleansing oil just doesn’t work for my skin) If I am super committed I will remember to order a bottle of squalane oil from The Ordinary and combine them (highly recommend) I have found that chemical exfoliation is better for my dry, sensitive skin. Products I use: Drunk Elephant babyfacial is incredible (avoid if broken out) Tatcha Rice polish (only the Indigo one, reallly gentle) The Fresh hydrating rose toner is perfection for dry/reactive skin. Absolute life saver, even when broken out, very soothing. The Fresh Rose hydrating mask is also really hydrating, cooling, soothing... really good for angry skin. I use it right after the babyfacial to balance and calm. Even though now the babyfacial doesn’t upset my skin at all, just had some redness the first few times that was completely gone by morning. Now it’s just full glow. I still double mask it. Super hydrating masks that I double as creams: Summer Friday’s Jet Lag Youth to the People Superberry dream mask Love Farmacy for the Clean bee cleanser and the honey mask is absolutely in my must haves. Incredibly hydrating but kinda warming, so not for break out times. Volition has two serums that are incredible. The Snow Mushroom is insane. So hydrating and calming. If I had to pick one I would pick that. Their strawberry C serum is my daytime pick, but not completely essential. I know you said you tried Tatcha but maybe you didn’t try the dewy skin cream? It is my holy grail moisturizer. All the other Tatcha creams are way too light for me other than this one. But this is THE ONE. Xo

RE: Sensitive/Dry Skin

A ton of DE products have gluten so I can’t use them, but, the babyfacial would probably be my number one skin care item of all time. Would totally get the Littles set and try if I could!

Thank you so much! I haven't ventures into drunk elephant yet. I've tried the indigo starter kit, which had their cleansing oil, rice polish, moisturizer, and essence. I had started out with the dewy creme and loved it, I feel like the indigo doesn't do enough for me.

Sensitive/Dry Skin

I have sensitive, aging skin-here's my routine: Tatcha cleansing oil, Tatcha's essence (I skip toning), Dermalogica's brightening serum, Then I'll endwith some kind of cream, lately I've been using one from Aveda. I hope that helps!

Thank you! do you notice if you like any particular creme...
