SUNDAY RILEY Good Genes All-In-One Lactic Acid Treatment/Drunk Elephant Night Serum

I recently purchased SUNDAY RILEY Good Genes All-In-One Lactic Acid Treatment and have been using it as a night serum based on one sales person's recommendation.  However, since then another in store a sales associate told me to use it for day serum only.  I am so confused now.  Is this a night or day serum?  If I also have been using DE Night serum is Sunday Riley to be used in place of DE Night Serum?  

I wish Sephora would put back the Q & A on the product page.  This format makes it hard to find answers to specific product questions.

I use both of these products. Because I also use a retinoid at night (which is the best time to use retinoids), I therefore use the GG during the day. So, basically--GG in the morning, and DE + retinoid at night.

You can definitely use GG either in the morning or in the evening, but do make sure to wear sunscreen regardless of when you use it as it does cause photosensitivity of the skin even when applied at night. The DE is generally suggested for evening use and as they are both different acids (GG- lactic vs Framboos- glycolic) they *can* be used in the same routine, HOWEVER for many people that is far too much exfoliation in one routine and can lead to overexfoliated skin. If your skin can handle it, great, but I'd try using them on alternate days to see how your skin handles the serums.

@MidnightDreamer Good Genes can be used both day and night especially ifyou’re not sensitive. When using it during the day, it’s imperative that you use sunscreen and stay out of direct sunlight for long periods of time. Drunk Elephant is meant for night time use and can be layered underneath Good Genes if you want. It maybe wise to set certain times if the day to use each product....Drunk Elephant at night and Good Genes during the day to keep your skin from becoming over-exfoliated from all the acids. I use Good Genes and Luna-stacked-every single night and it’s been amazing for me. Just remember your sunscreen! ❤️
