SK-II

I am very interested In the SK-II facial essence however it's about pricey. Have you tried this product? If so how was it?! Worth it? I have combination skin more on the dry side however I have some texture on one check and stubborn pore on my chin and below my nose. And I'm always dry in the winter - was really hoping the essence treatment would help me reach the hydration dewy skin I've always wanted.

RE: SK-II

If you're still interested, I suggest trying it from the Soko to Tokyo Sephora Favorites box. The box is $40 so it's below the usual SK-II price point and you get a bunch of other products to try with it. Most of which target hydration and moisture. Good luck!

Re: SK-II

If your main goal is hydration, I think you would do better with other products; the main claim of the SK-II isn't really necessarily hydration, while many other Asian Beauty toner/essence type products do primarily emphasize hydration!

There are also a number of other fermented essences that are similar to the SK-II but significantly cheaper. Off the top of my head, the CosRx Whitening Power Essence and Missha Time Revolution Essence are close dupes (all of these products have the same main ingredient, which is byproducts of yeast fermentation).

Re: SK-II

It's no miracle product and it's efficacy depends on what you're already doing within your regime. (Although from personal experience, I think there are comparable first essences that are much cheaper...)  My understanding is that SKII essence is actually a "first essence" or fermented essence VS toner. For best results, it should be patted on face liberally.
