Roseacia

Hello, I have recently benn diagnosed with roseacia.  I have enlarged pores and texturing on my cheeks from it.  What can I use to help combat the texture, fine lines, and enlarged pores in my skincare routine?  What makeup would also help in minimizing these issues?  Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Roseacia

Hi! I’ve been dealing with rosacea for about 5 years now and the best way to improve you skin is to go see a dermatologist. There is not one solution or product that works on everyone who has rosacea. What worked for me was a prescription low strength vitamin a cream which will help with the texture and pores on your skin. Vitamin a cream (which is similar to retinol) can be quite harsh so it’s best to start slow and see how your skin reacts to it. It’s very important to keep you skin super hydrated and stay away from products that have alcohol and fragrance. These are known to cause irritation for rosacea. What you should NEVER use on your face are any physical exfoliators - this includes cleaning brushes, beads and rough cloths, harsh chemical exfoliates like glycolic acid or salicylic acid. Also less is more! All you need is a really good cleanser that will really remove all oil and makeup and then a hydrating moisturizer. This will help shrink your pores over time without irritating you rosacea. For reference I use fresh soy cleanser. Hope this helps!
