Removing makeup

Anyone have any suggestions for trying to get mascara off all the way? I haven't found anything that gets it all off.

RE: Removing makeup

Make your own facial oil cleanser with castor oil and olive oil as a base. Apply on dry skin, massage and remove with a hot towel. Then cleanse regularly with a water base cleanser. Double cleansing is not only great at removing makeup but it also has amazing properties to balance the skin.

RE: Removing makeup

Boscia make-up break is the only thing I use, I wish I had discovered it sooner!!

Re: Removing makeup

Simple Mirecellar water wipes-- takes everything off

Re: Removing makeup

Chanel eye make up remover.  Even took off waterproof eyeliner that I couldn't get to budge.

RE: Removing makeup

Sephora's Waterproof Eye Makeup Remover is great and doesn't dry out my skin. I apply it to the Shisedo cotton pads and everything comes off easily.

Re: Removing makeup

@Anonymous Sens'Eyes by MUFE is a good one, and was rec'd by one of the BTs.  Since you have so many good recommendations here, you might want to consider going to Sephora and getting a sample to see what works for you.  🙂

Re: Removing makeup

I suggest you try melt off by too faced. It's great for removing waterproof mascara so it should remove your regular mascara!

Re: Removing makeup

The Lacome oil eye makeup remover and the Sephora eye makeup removers are the best

Re: Removing makeup

I use Neutrogena's oil-free eye makeup remover.  It never irritates eyes and wipes off water proof mascara in seconds. It is affordable, too.  I normally buy a few bottles when it goes on sale at drug stores.

Re: Removing makeup

I used to use coconut oil but my cosmetologist told me it would prone little grease/white bumps under my eyes, so I started using the neutrogena eye make up remover and has work just fine. FARMACY has one (green cleanser I think) I use it once and its wonderful but is a little pricey

RE: Removing makeup

Simple has an eye make up Remover. Coconut oil works too like the other member said. Not too much because it coats the eye lid and wreaks havoc on contacts if you have long lashes.

Re: Removing makeup

coconut oil can get all of your make up off 🙂

RE: Removing makeup

Sephora has their own eye makeup remover and it works wonderfully even for waterproof mascara.

Lancôme Bifacil is amazing. I've tried cheaper 2 phase versions but they don't work as well.

I tend to use the Too Faced melt away mascara oil, and then also use a makeup remover liquid or cloth. and with the two combined I don't have to pull on my lashes to get the mascara off.

RE: Removing makeup

The makeup eraser! I love it! Its reusable so I don't have to keep buying it like makeup removing wipes and it takes off all my makeup.

Re: Removing makeup

I use Fresh Seaberry Cleansing Oil...it works wonders! So much crap comes out of my skin that I had no idea was still on there. And it dissolves all waterproof makeup. And is full of omegas so great for your skin 🙂

RE: Removing makeup

Cleansing oil. The shu uemura one works spectacularly.

micellear water!

micellear water!

RE: Removing makeup

A nice relaxing (and highly effective) double cleanse is what you're looking for. Purity Cleansing Oil will take off all your makeup, even the stubborn mascara. And won't sting your eyes 😀 Pour a quarter-sized amount into a dry palm and massage for a minute or two over a dry face. As it emulsifies all your makeup off it may look a little scary- don't worry. Follow with a water-based cleanser of your choice. Purity Cleanser is awesome. And voila! All makeup, including mascara, gone and face feels soft, soft, soft!
