Redness via concealer

Spoiler

Redness

okay so i just tried on a nars product at sephora today (i’ve never worn makeup before) and i felt a burning sensation while i had it on in the store and when i got home, i used a makeup wipe to remove the concealer and my face was extremely red. was this reaction bc i’ve never worn this makeup before or will my skin always reject this specific product?

Re: Redness via concealer

@Nick9000 did you apply the makeup yourself or did an advisor?  If you applied it yourself did you use a clean applicator or applied it straight from the tube?

Re: Redness via concealer

she used a brush

Re: Redness via concealer

@Nick9000 @Maybe the container was already contaminated or your skin is allergic to one of the ingredients.

Re: Redness via concealer

An advisor applied the concealer. I felt a burning sensation once I had it on almost immediately and once I used a cetaphil makeup wipe I noticed the redness under the concealer. (After doing some research I know I shouldn’t use those wipes to remove makeup)

@Nick9000 @Did she apply it with a brush, out of the tube or with an applicator?  Maybe the tube or applicator wasn’t clean.
