Reapplying SPF after makeup?

As everyone knows, SPF is sooooo important. As directions state, you have to reapply after 2hrs. Any recommendations for a sunscreen to reapply over makeup ?

@munaytalks If you are sweating a lot, that’s when you would want to reapply. Most times, directions state that because the user is outdoors, sweating or swimming with no makeup on. If you are simply running errands, are in and out of the house and car all day, you should be fine with the initial application that you applied that morning. If you’re say, at a theme park or something of that nature, I love Amore Pacific’s SPF spray or as others have mentioned, Supergoop. I also love their setting powder that contains SPF as well. I have also used the Peter Thomas Roth version and enjoy that just the same.

@munaytalksI've used the supergoop setting spray, its amazing, has an spf of 50 and even my boyfriend loved using it, since its not smelly, and it really keeps the face cool even during a super hot day out. Also its super light, and does not mess up the make up.

These are all great answers and with summer around the corner, having a product with SPF to put after makeup is essential. Especially if you're on vacation or out on the beach. Besides using a mineral sunscreen and setting spray with SPF, look into a a Cushion Compact with SPF. My absolute favorite is the AmorePacific Color Control Cushion Broad Spectrum SPF 50+. These are tinted, so they do provide a bit of coverage. This would work best on top of a liquid foundation. They also come in mini size which make them great for travel.

Hi @munaytalks. There are some options out there. In powder form, Colorescience makes a tintied mineral powder which can be swept over makeup. Though it did not move my makeup around, I noticed that my skin would look a bit chalky after a while. My current favorite is Dr. Dennis Gross’ facial mineral sunscreen spray. It kind of has a milky consistency but absorbs immediately. Though I haven’t tried them, I’ve heard positive things about Supergoop’s setting spray and Kate Summerville’s SPF 50. Honestly, I think any spray would work well. I recently bought Pacifica Beauty’s Mineral SPF spray from Target, for face and body, and plan on using it to reapply on my face. Hope this helps!

Hey @munaytalks, check out the Coola sunscreen spray or the Kate Summerville SPF 50 setting spray. They’re both excellent and make keeping your skin protected form harmful UV rays easy 😄
