Order of pore blurrer/primer?

I have Benefits Porefessional, which I love for blurring pores but donโ€™t actually like as sole primer. I bought Cover FX illuminating primer, which I like. This morning I used the primer first and then Porefessional and wasnโ€™t crazy about how Armani foundation went on. Assume I should reverse order? Of course if someone has suggestion for one product that would do all of this for future consideration Iโ€™m all ears!

Re: Order of pore blurrer/primer?

@bogsc A pore filler and illuminating primer are on opposite ends. A pore filler is meant to fill pores as well as mattify your skin. Next time, put the porefessional on your nose and cheeks then put the illuminating everywhere else. Donโ€™t layer them. See if that works for you. My suggestion and what Iโ€™ve done in the past is: use your porefessional everywhere. Then use an illuminating liquid like the Cover FX one and add a few drops to your foundation. That way you get the best of both worlds. Your base is primed and matte but your foundation has a glow. I hope that made sense! Lol

Re: Order of pore blurrer/primer?

Really helpful, thank you.  I do seem to need pore blurring everywhere these days so like the idea of adding some illuminating primer to foundation!

Re: Order of pore blurrer/primer?

@bogsc Not your primer but illuminating drops. These are the Cover FX ones. Theyโ€™re expensive but Makeup Revolution now has a dupe at Ulta for about $15. I also know Wet n Wild are coming out with some in January for $7! You add these to your foundation to help illuminate. 0200F30B-01C1-48EF-9A83-F99B0611E104.jpeg

Re: Order of pore blurrer/primer?

Hmmmm...issue is that foundation does not glide over porefessional. So I guess I need to go with your first suggestion and use porefessional judiciously in a couple of areas with primer in other areas. Worried that foundation will then look uneven. Guess experimentation is in order...

Great advice @darlyndar!

@bakeamuffin Thanks! Iโ€™ve learned to love and control my oily skin but sometimes, I want that glow! Lol
