Night Skin Care Routine Before or After I Shower?

Do I do my night skin care routine before or after I shower?

P.S. I have dry skin if you're wondering.

@vickievu64  I have mostly-dry combo skin. I usually shower in the morning but sometimes do it at night. No matter when I shower: if I need to use a lip scrub, I apply it beforehand. During my shower, I rinse off the lip scrub and use my facial cleanser. I apply everything else after my shower. If I did my whole routine before my shower, I might accidentally rinse off my moisturizer. 

I don’t take hot showers, so my bathroom’s not usually steamy. I like to keep humidity low in my bathroom, and hot water’s bad for my skin. I do make sure my face is still damp when my shower’s done: I don’t fully dry my face off. I want it to still be a bit wet so it never gets uncomfortably tight or dry feeling between my wash and toner/exfoliation steps. If my face has air-dried by the time I reach my moisturizer step, I tap or spritz a little water on it before applying my moisturizer so I can seal in some hydration. 

Some folks do their wash and tone steps in the shower, especially when using a hydrating toner. Others wash, tone, and mask (clay/cream mask, not sheet mask) in the shower. I prefer to do all post-wash things after my shower. 🙂

Definitely after 🙂 Your skin should absorb the best because of the steam from the shower. After you step out and dry your face/body (keeping the door closed to trap in some steam) I would go in with a serum and then a night time moisturizer.
