Need recommendations - hyper sensitive, crazy dry

Hi all,

I have super super sensitive, extremely dry skin, and a rash that is likely a mix of rosacea (the bumpy kind that looks like redness + acne, but it isn't acne .. Those bumps aren't pimples) and just my multiple autoimmune conditions. No dermatologist seems to be 100% sure of what it is.

I tried Riversol (not sold here) and loved the results, but I'm not happy with the ingredients. Clean ingredients are a huge priority for me. I'm trying out the Origins Mega Mushroom line right now.. It's ok, but my skin is definitely not as clean and smooth as it was on Riversol, and I find it isn't hydrating enough.

Any suggestions on products that have worked for others?

Thanks so much!!

@eb91 DRUNK ELEPHANT - Lala Retro Whipped Moisturizer

is fantastic for dry sensitive skin.

@eb91 I have extremely sensitive skin and it gets so dry sometimes. I really like DRUNK ELEPHANT - Lala Retro Whipped Moisturizer

it really helps with my dry skin. And it’s clean ingredients!

Re: Need recommendations - hyper sensitive, crazy dry

@eb91 I have mild rosacea. There are certain ingredients that could worsen/trigger rosacea flareups like fragrance/parfum/limonene/etc., essential oils (citrus oils, peppermint oil, eucalyptus oil, etc.), and menthol/alcohol (not the fatty alcohols).

I like the Drunk Elephant line! Find a cleanser and moisturizer right for you first, then you can incorporate a new product every other week or so at least to check for any reactions. Patch testing new products helps as well.

Azelaic acid is an ingredient that can help with rosacea. It's commonly found in rosacea meds. Green tea extract may be another alternative.
