Need blackhead help!

I have super tiny pores and I can’t ever seem to really get my blackheads. I feel like no matter how long I steam my face, I can’t get my pores open enough to get the blackheads out. Does anyone have any good blackhead recommendations? I love peel-off masks/strips. I also have really oily skin except for my nose is really dry. Help?

Re: Need blackhead help!

Honestly, my recommendation is to drop the pore strips. You can use them for special occassions, but I would use sparingly as they can damage your pores from my research. The best way to combat blackheads is using salacylic acid in a form that is 2% and a ph between 3-4. For a product from Sephora, I really like the dr Dennie gross acne wipes - but get a sample first, because they can burn a bit if your skin is sensitive. Look for 2% actives though and it should help.

ETA: My my personal favorite way to clear out blackheads fast is to use the fifty shades of snail method. Apply 2% salacylic acid, wait 20 minutes, apply a clay mask, wait however long you are supposed to per directions on the mask, wash off, apply an oil cleanser, let it sit 30 minutes, then gently rub it in for 3-5 minutes, wash off, and cleanse. Works amazing for me!!

la Roche pose effeclar duo+. I use the lotion formula, and I have super sensitive, dry skin and it's not caused me any problems. it will take a few weeks to see results, but if you keep using it, they won't come back. I use it in t zone only. It goes on sale all the time and you need only a very small amount (like a large pea size does my whole t zone) and once it dries you can layer another moisturizer over it, as long as the ingredients don't cancel each other out.
