Need CBD Recommendations!

I'm hopping on the new CBD oil in skincare trend and want to give it a try as I've heard so many positive things about it on skin. I'm currently stuck in between the Flora + Bast Age Adapting CBD Serum or Herbivore's new Emerald CBD + Adaptogens glow oil. I'm leaning towards Herbivore's just because it is a lower price, but if Flora's is more effective I don't mind paying the few extra. 

Thoughts on how these two compare?

I haven’t tried the flora line but I have used herbivore cbd and it’s great. I love how it makes mine skin look and feel. I have oily textured skin and this has helped smooth my skin out. It also gives my skin this healthy glow without being oily. I also noticed my skin doesn’t get as red and irritated anymore. An added bonus is that my skin also feels firmer too.

Nothing was helping me before (salicilic acid, vitamin c, retinol, niacinamide, changing eating and lifestile habits) but I was desperate to solve my skin problem (hormonal acne). So I tried CBD oil by and it seems to be working so far. It took about three months to get this result, but cbd oil reduces inflammation almost immediately. I am curious if you have any experience with it.

I can’t compare to the other cbd oils but I absolutely love the flora bast. I received a trial size sample and immediately saw results. More than that the texture of my skin is so amazing. It does have a distinct smell to it but it’s only temporary. I use it in addition to my usual skin care routine. I put it on before my moisturizer.

I’ve also tried Flora and it’s very soothing, but not as hydrating as the Herbivore or Josie Maran.

The Herbivore one with CBD is excellent, but it smells like weed. It usually goes away after a minute. I really like Josie Maran’s new Skin Dope with CBD—it’s great for calming irritation. I also use Saint Jane, which has gotten rid of my rosacea when the prescription gel didn’t, but it’s expensive. You only need a few drops though. Make sure you buy the product that says CBD—Cannabis sativa seed oil is not the same and won’t have the benefits of CBD.

I’m interested in trying out the Herbivore CBD + Adaptogen also! I’m currently using the Kiehl’s Cannabis Sativa Seed Oil and I’m quite happy with that - I just started prescription strength retinol (tretinoin) and I use this oil after I apply that, and it’s been really soothing. It’s not my favorite smell, but I don’t mind it either.

A lot of the oils marketed as CBD skincare is actually Cannabis Sativa seed oil... That being said, it's nonetheless an ingredient I do like - just keep in mind it's not actually CBD!

Herbivore recently came out with one that contains CBD (Cannabidiol) as well as cannabis sativa seed oil-, it seems like they just revamped their original  Herbivore Emerald Hemp Seed Deep Moisture Glow Oil 1 oz/ 30 mL

@ValerieVogel Ohhh, my bad! I had no idea, as the CBD one isn't available in Canada 😞 It sounds nice though, I like many of the ingredients in it & hopefully it will be available for us at some point. I'm super intrigued, so feel free to let me know how you like it if you end up getting it. 🙂

I haven't tried Flora, but I have the Herbivore oil and I love it! I've struggled with dry skin and it has been amazing for me. I usually will do my routine with more than one serum, but I can just use the Herbivore and be good with that!
