Mixing a serum with a moisturizer?

Many serums have instructions to “mix” their serum with a moisturizer or facial oil for maximum benefit. What is the proper way to do this? Should a layer of both be applied at the same time or literally mix the product together and then apply once?

It really depends on the serum. Some need to be put on skin by as their own layer to get maximum benefits, but others can be added to moisturizer and mixed in the palm of your hand before application.

Thank you I've been wondering lol and how do u use primer and the pore minimizer when using moisturizer I am confused as to pore minimizer first then moisturizer?

I was told moisturizer then primer. Primer after the moisturizer has soaked in. I think it works good. Never tried it the other way. Now I will to see.

Either method works, but it all depends on what you prefer. Personally, it’s easier for me to mix the moisturizer with the oil/serum first, then apply it to my skin all at once.
