Both MayCoops' Raw Sauce and Son&Park's Beauty Water serves as multifunctional essences.
Raw Sauce has properties to function as a moisturizer and brightener. I'm not sure if I agree with it's claim of, "antioxidant-rich ingredient(s)" since the only antioxidant I see is Ribes Nigrum (BLACK CURRANT) Fruit Extract. It's interesting to me that Triticum Vulgare (WHEAT) Flour Extract, Oryza Sativa (RICE) Extract, Zea Mays (CORN) Germ Extract, Glycine Soja (SOYBEAN) Seed Extract, and Oryza Sativa (RICE) Bran Extract are listed below Black Currant, but are more in quantity. These bran ingredients are also known as "Fermented." They generally serve to both hydrate and encourage evening of skin tones. Since Raw Sauce advocates Maple Tree Sap (Acer Mono sap) as their selling point, I understand why it's considered an effective cataract to deliver certain ingredients such as peptides and antioxidants.
There is one cosmetic source I found that discusses the benefits of Maple Tree Sap. This is the result, "Acer Mono sap can be used as natural materials or additives for human skin owing to their beneficial biologic functions, including the anti-wrinkle effect, for cosmetic compositions." There is another source I found that promotes health benefits, however it's drinking Maple Tree Sap - not applying as a cosmetic. Thus, I can't confidently transfer the details since I believe an ingredient intended for digestion is different form from intended topical use.
My only warning about Raw Sauce is that Alcohol is listed as the second in its ingredients list. Although it may serve as a drying agent since May Coop claims 93% of the product is Maple Tree Sap, I'd like you to keep it in mind if you are sensitive to Alcohol.
Beauty Water has properties to function as micellar water, toner, and/or essence. I've been eying this product myself since I am heavily interested to use it myself, however I haven't committed because of ethnic reasons. I can clarify that specific reason, if you're interested. If not, that's also okay.
Rosa Damascena Flower Water and Hamamelis Virginiana (Witch Hazel) Water is a good source of hydration. Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Leaf Extract and Melissa Officinalis Leaf (Green Tea) are both effective antioxidants and inflammatory ingredients. I'm not sure if I would bite the shiny bait that Beauty Water actively brightens skin because I see no active ingredients. Rather, I believe Beauty Water focuses as to encourage/boost the effectiveness of next-step products such as acids. One source-study claims, "Papaya-Extract H.G. is recommendable to formulate cosmetic products with the following activities: depilatory, anti-aging, skin cleansing purifying, antiseptic, moisturizing, conditioner and exfoliating," however EWG's Cosmetic Database says Papaya Extract functions as a "Skin-Conditioning Agent."
I have friends that have positive experiences with this product, so you can't go wrong with it as long as you follow up or have products with compliment with it.
If you're interested to find an alternative of Son&Parks' Beauty Water, I'd suggest Dr. Jart's Dermaclear Micro Water. This multifunctional product that moisturizes, cleanses, brightens, protects, and improve skin texture.
Citric Acid is a pH adjuster that can boost follow-up products and an AHA that promotes cell turn-over. Rice Ferment Filtrate (SAKE) and Galactomyces Ferment Filtrate are fermented ingredients that effectively hydrates. Hippophae Rhamnoides Fruit (SEA BUCKTHORN) Extract, Salix Nigra (WILLOW) Bark Extract, and Royal Jelly (HONEY) Extracts are some of my favorite ingredients. All three ingredients are antioxidants, hydrators, and inflammatory. Not only that, but these extracts have skin-tonic properties that can sooth sensitivities. Willow is also a source of Salicylic Acid, but is not a substitute of it. If you are allergic to the exposure of tannins, then avoid. As for Sea Buckthorn and Honey derivatives, those focus as anti-aging properties.
