Make up removing cleansers

does anyone have a good cleanser that removes makeup/mascara for dry skin that they love??

RE: Make up removing cleansers

I HIGHLY recommend Clinique take the day off cleansing balm and MUJI cleansing oil. They both cleanse literally everything, even the most stubborn Japanese waterproof mascaras AND don’t sting my eyes. I’ve tries Shuemura cleansing oil which works well but MUJI one is just as good with fraction of the price. BTW, I have sensitive, acne prone skin so I literally tried more than 20 different make up removers product and keeps coming back to these.

RE: Make up removing cleansers

Drunk Elephant Beste jelly cleanser and Dermalogica precleanse oil are my favorites. The makeup literally melts off. If you use the precleanse, a little bit goes a long way, and be sure it mix it with a little bit of water in your hands.

Tatcha one step cleansing oil, it's by far favorite. It's incredibly gentle and I can put it directly on my eyes without them stinging. My skin is very sensitive and this leaves it feeling quite nice.

RE: Re: Make up removing cleansers

This one is the absolute best but I heard it has plastic in it 😞 I wish they would reformulqte it without plastic so that we could use it without hurting the environment

Re: RE: Re: Make up removing cleansers

@nicolestar Green Clean does contain polyethylene,  which was microbeads. They use it in wax form, to aid in thickening.

Re: Make up removing cleansers

@sofiag72 for my lashes, I like to use TOO FACED - Mascara Melt Off Cleansing Oil

Along with TATCHA - Pure One Step Camellia Cleansing Oil Mini

With a soaked MAKEUP ERASER - The Original MakeUp Eraser® Makeup Remover Cloth

Then I cleanse with Maskeraide purifying cleansing stick or Paula's choice acne cleanser

@sofiag72  I love

TATCHA - Pure One Step Camellia Oil Cleanser

Re: Make up removing cleansers

I love Drunk Elephant Slaai™ Makeup-Melting Butter Cleanser

That stuff will remove ANYTHING!

Re: Make up removing cleansers

I swear by cleaning balms or cleansing oils for dry skin makeup removal!  I always use a gentle cleanser as a 2nd pass though especially if I had foundation/sunscreen on.

My two stand-bys that I've used for years (both fragrance free)dhc-cleanse.png

Recently bought a mini of Farmacy Green Clean Makeup Removing Cleansing Balm 3.4 oz/ 100 mL and like it a lot.  Also went through a deluxe sample of Good Molecules Instant Cleansing Balm (at beautylish)  and think I'll purchase a full size, as it seemed to clean more efficiently than Clinique (less product, same result).

Re: Make up removing cleansers

@drrragon Does the one from Good Molecules have any kind of scent?  Does it have a texture more similar to the one from Clinique or the one from Farmacy?

Re: Make up removing cleansers

@CookieGirl1 i don't recall any particular fragrance, but it's been a couple of weeks since i ran out of that sample.  here's the list of ingredients from beautylish:

Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Cetyl Ethylhexanoate, PEG-20 Glyceryl Triisostearate, Polyethylene, PEG-8 Isostearate, 1,2-Hexanediol, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Tocopheryl Acetate, Pelargonium Graveolens Flower Oil, Cananga Odorata Flower Oil, Camellia Oleifera Seed Oil, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Hippophae Rhamnoides Oil, Citric Acid

Re: Make up removing cleansers

might want to try elemis cleansing balm.  got a lot of good reviews and the mini is only $14.  I got the rose one but haven't tried it yet.

Make up removing cleansers

Hi! If you're looking for a great cleanser for that doesn't dry out your skin, definitely give Drunk Elephant's Slaii Cleansing Balm a try. It lasts forever & it takes off ALL your makeup (waterproof as well) very quickly. Of course, double cleaning is a great method, so follow up with Fresh's Soy Cleanser to make sure your face is 100% clean.
