Lupus Rash

I suffer from Lupus and get rashes - does anyone else experience this? What are your favorite products to recover or prevent any skin issues?

Hi @Anonymous! Good question. I also have skin problems from #Lupus and am always looking for recommendations. As others mentioned, a sunscreen is a must due to the photosensitivity associated with lupus. My favorite face sunscreen is actually from Rodan Fileds’ sensitive skin collection, but I also like the Supergoop! Unseen Sunscreen Invisible Broad Spectrum SPF 40 PA +++ 2.5 oz/ 73.9 mL sunscreen. 

The best product I’ve found to camouflage any rashes or lesions on my face is #HUDABEAUTY Faux Filter foundation. It is awesome at hiding my Malar (butterfly) rash, discoid lesions, and the scars and discoloration I get from them. If you decide to give the Faux filter a try I would definitely recommend using a setting powder on top as it can remain a little “sticky” without . Otherwise, it’s probably the best full coverage foundation I’ve tried!

I use sunscreen oil spf50 buy O’loreal in shower.

I am currently suffering from the butterfly lupus rash and my only savior has been itcosmetics cc cream. It has zinc and spf 50 and basically works like a full on foundation. I put it on before I leave the house and set it with either vitamin c powder or regular translucent powder. Hope this helps
