La Mer Crem de la Crem vs. Soft Cream

I recently bought the La Mer Crem de la Crem and was surprised at how dense it is. I had gotten the La Mer Soft Cream as a sample and loved it, but opted to buy the Crem de la Crem because after reading reviews, it seemed that one would be better for the colder weather (I live in Chicago and the winter wind here is awful).

So I tried it last night before bed and it was hard to apply to my face and I felt like I had to smear it into my skin, rather than just gently rub it on like with the soft cream. Anyone else feel like this? or have tried both creams and have opinions on which one is better? And is the difference between the two creams just the consistency?

Thanks, all! 🙂

I also did this with my sample jar as it came with no instructions. But when I purchased the regular size it came with the instructions of having to put the cream between your fingertips or palms and warming it up until it becomes translucent then press into face, eye area, lips, neck (that's where I put it) not rub it in. I noticed a huge difference doing that one little step and then knew what all of the fuss was about. I have normal to dry skin & after the 1st application done the right way, my skin was plump and dewy. I love it and find it works for my skin.

Hope this helps!
