Jade rollers anyone? Share your tips and tricks!

So my double jade rollers arrived in the mail a week ago and before starting to use it, I want to know how my fellow skincare junkies are using them. Please share

-How frequently you use it.

-How long do you massage

-Which skincare product/products do you apply before massage

- In short please share your routine with jade rollers and any tips or tricks you know to get max benefit from this procedure.

@fairlywell I don't get an option to reply to your comment so I'm posting as a new comment. So I tried it tonight. After taking off my makeup with cleansing oil, I applied Tata Harper Purifying Cleanser and as it changes to oil after application and is supposed to be kept on for 1 min, I used roller on top of it (of course it took more than 1 minute) The roller glided on very nicely and I like how the whole process went. My face didn't felt dry due to keeping Cleanser on for longer than suggested time but just slightly flushed than was most probably due to massage. 

At this point I don't think I can either manage to use it more than once or twice a week but it may change after summer break once schools re-open.

@fatimamummy I keep mine in the refrigerator after using and washing. I think I like it better with a serum than an oil, but that's just a preference. I tend to roll in the direction I wish my face would go - up and out. I love the ritual, but honestly after several months I think it's more self-care than anything else.

Thank you @fairlywell  I assume you use oil serum? Also I was watching a massage video by Lisa Eldridge where she mentioned that she sometimes does face massage with cleansing oil or Balm so I was wondering if that would be a good way to massage with jade roller as well. It sounds/feels convenient to use it when I already have my cleansing oil on and then proceed with rest of the skincare routine.

@fatimamummy I've tried with a bunch of things, although not oil cleansers! That's a good idea. But after your makeup is off already I would think? My current favorite is mixing Lierac Hydragenist with The Ordinary Buffet. The slip in the Lierac makes for a really satisfying rolling session. The other time I like to get out the roller is if I use a sheet mask with extra serum - rolling after seems to sort of press it all in. I'm not very scheduled about using it, maybe 1-2x per week. I'm probably not getting all the benefits that I could.
