IPL Treatment

Has anyone had an IPL treatment? I am going for my first one next week, and I am not sure what to expect. They just told me to use gentle products and be careful with my makeup. I’d appreciate any advice! Thanks!

RE: IPL Treatment

I have had IPL treatment before for my rosacea, and it helped immensely as Smoothing my skit tone and texture. I️ do have really sensitive skin so I️ was red for a few hours after. So usually the put like a gel like cream all over your face and put these metal protectors for your eyes. Once the procedure starts its feels almost like a hot rubber band snapping against your skin, it’s not the best feeling but it’s not the worst, it definitely is a little uncomfortable but not anything that you can’t handle. Other parts of the face hurt a bit more, like around the eyes, not sure what area you’re doing but the benefits definitely out weigh the uncomfortable aspect of it, I️ had it done once a month for about four months and the results lasted so long. I’m actually looking now to get another treatment, IPL or Laser genesis I️ wanted to try. Hope this helps! Also are you having it done by a derm Doc like a spa?

Re: RE: IPL Treatment

Thank you! You were right; it wasn't that bad! My skin got a little red, but nothing else. It's now a week after, and it looks a lot better! I am scheduled to have two more done, each a month apart. If you don't mind me asking, what skin care/makeup do you use? I've only ever used full coverage (to hide the scars), and now I feel like it's too much since half the scarring is gone.

I haven't but always wanted too. Hope it goes well. can't...
