Hyperpigmentation Product Recs

Had anyone found success in fading hyperpigmentation completely?

I’ve gotten good results so far using sunscreen along the Inkey List Niacinamide + HA and The Ordinary Alpha Arbutin + HA

I would like quicker results though and wonder if anyone’s gotten complete results fading PIH.

Re: Hyperpigmentation Product Recs

@Alliloll I've gotten the best results using a 20% ascorbic acid serum a few mornings a week. My personal favorite is Tiam My Signature C Source (not at Sephora).

Re: Hyperpigmentation Product Recs

@Alliloll  For the quickest and most complete results, ask a board certified dermatologist about laser or IPL treatment for PIH.

Anything else (topical skincare products) requires time and patience.

I use several products for hyperpigmentation: Avene RetrinAL 0.1 Intensive Cream (0.1% retinaldehyde; I recommend the lower strength version to vitamin A newbies), Hyper Skin Brightening Dark Spot Vitamin C Serum 1 oz/ 30 mL (arbutin, kojic acid, and a vitamin C derivative), niacinamide (it’s in several of my products, so I don’t need a stand-alone serum), and Paula's Choice 10% Azelaic Acid Booster for Redness Relief 1/30 which is the most helpful product for my PIH. I’ve also used FaceTheory Lumizela A10 Serum and The Ordinary Azelaic Acid Suspension 10% Cream for Redness and Blemish-Prone Skin with good results. Those all contain 10% azelaic acid; your doctor can prescribe 15-20% azelaic acid.
