Hydrating essence/toner

In the market for something for dehydrated skin to use in between steps. Has to be totally fragrance free and 0 alcohol. Working with very sensitive and reactive skin. Hoping for something full of lots of extra yummy ingredients for my face then just water.

Re: Hydrating essence/toner

@crystalyn87  I have mostly-dry combo skin that's fairly sensitive and quite reactive/inflammation-prone. Here are 3 of the products I've use daily:

  • COSRX Centella Water Alcohol-Free Toner - Has a short ingredient list and contains 2 of my skin's favorite soothers: centella asiatica and allantoin. Comes in a spray bottle. I use this as a hydrating spray between skincare steps as needed.
  • Timeless HA Matrixyl 3000 + Cucumber Spray - Sometimes I use this hydrating spray between steps instead. In addition to the peptide complex Matrixyl 3000 and cucumber extract, this spray also contains the salt form of pantothenic acid (vitamin B5), aloe vera, and sodium hyaluronate. It does have a light cucumber scent, but that's from the cucumber extract.
  • Good Molecules Hyaluronic Acid Boosting Essence - I've been testing this for about a month in my AM routine. I don't use it between steps—I use it just once in the morning—but you could use it more frequently if you want. Contains 3 forms of hyaluronic acid, a urea derivative, and a tripeptide that's claimed to boost hyaluronic acid and strengthen collagen in skin.

If you want something with a longer/beefier INCI list than those, well... consider whether or not you need much more, based on the ingredients of products in your current routine.

Re: Hydrating essence/toner

I didn’t know you could get the cosrx one alcohol free! I have been wanting to try it. Where to you grind the one without alcohol?

Re: Hydrating essence/toner

@crystalyn87  COSRX makes several different toners. Check out the brand's site to see them all. They have another cica (centella asiatica) toner I want to try at some point, the Pure Fit Cica Toner which contains 7 forms of cica. I already use and love their Pure Fit Cica Serum, which is the only reason I haven't tried that toner yet (it'd be kinda redundant with the serum). A couple other COSRX toners are the Full Fit Propolis Synergy Toner which contains honey and propolis, and the Hydrium Watery Toner that contains 6 forms of hyaluronic acid. Those last 2 toners you can also find at Ulta, if you're in the US.

As for the Centella Water Alcohol-Free Toner, you can get it direct from COSRX or try online K-beauty retailers like YesStyle, Stylevana, OhLolly, Masksheets, etc.

Re: Hydrating essence/toner

I am dying to dive into k beauty, but it all seems to be high in alcohol and/or fragrance. Where do you find these?
