How do I keep makeup on?

My skin is very oily and when I wear make up it will easily rub off and will look shiny after a little while, help !!

Hi! I had the same problem! A good little trick is after you've applied primer (I use Mister Smooth by Givenchy because it's silicone free- and silicone adds to oiliness) then dampen your beauty blender and dab finishing powder all over your face- just a little bit, focusing on your most oily sections. I use Laura Mercier Translucent finishing powder. Then go ahead with your foundation and finish off with the same setting powder but with a brush. Hope this helps you! Just a side note- my skin is oily when it's dehydrated so make sure you're using a super hydrating moisturizer. Fresh Lotus Youth Preserve is what I use and I love it, it's not heavy at all:) xx

Going to echo the recommendations in here!

A good mattifying primer, then perhaps set with something like Urban Decay Oil Slick Setting Spray, foundation, powder. 

Or, you can try: primer, then loose powder, foundation, powder LIGHTLY again, setting spray.

I'd say experiment with those product combos and find what works. But also, what is your usual skincare prep?

You should try using a finishing powder or translucent powder. It will set your makeup and keep it on and flawless!

I use a primer before I put on my makeup!!! I love the primer by Beeca it's GREAT

I have oily skin too! What I've been doing is spray my beauty blender in setting my spray (I use the urban decay one) and tap it on my finished face. I went through a heavy rainfall in NYC and dancing in a night club and the only thing left of my face was my foundation and concealer.

you would wanna use any kind of foundation with a matte finish like Too faced new peach foundation, Tarte clay foundation,Dior forever perfect foundation and a good Primer like too faced primed and peachy matte primer and a good powder

I'm usually an oily mess by mid-morning and using a gel based moisturizer has really helped me. I know Clinique and Neutrogena have good ones.

I find the calamine lotion help reduce oil throughout the day. I have combination skin, so I apply calamine lotion on my oily t-zone. I can tell the difference since I apply it on the first day. Now I see the same amount of shine at the 8hr point compare to the 4hr point when I was not wearing it... The only down side is this lotion is in pink colour, so I have to wear some coloured complexion product (like foundation) on top of it. If it doesn't bother you, just go get it!

If you want to try a new technique, use a mattifying primer. Then set the primer with a setting powder. Then foundation. Then set with powder. Then setting spray. There are YouTube tutorials how to accomplish the look.

I also heard spray with setting spray after setting the primer with powder to create even more budgeproof. NIKIA JOY is the oily queen of YouTube. Check her out

I use Kat Von D setting powder and Urban Decay Chill Settig spray and my makeup stays on for about 8-10 hours and I live out in Southern California where it super hot. I hope this helps.

Primer and a good setting spray should keep it on for longer

A good primer for your skin type is helpful! Make sure to set with powder and a setting spray meant to prolong your makeup (like UD All Nighter or Skindinavia). It Cosmetics has a pressed translucent powder called Bye Bye Pores that is great for keeping oil at bay or for touch-ups.
