Holy Grails for Winter

I love skincare products (though that is an understatement, it is more like I am addicted) and I am always on the search to try new products (especially those under-the-radar). I love hearing people talk about products that have made a difference for their skin, so what are your holy grail skincare products during the winter? I personally do not have that many HGs, except for the Son and Park Beauty Water, Dr. Jart+ Ceramidin Cream, and Shiseido cotton pads. The beauty water is so gentle and refreshing and does not dry my skin out. The ceramidin cream has helped restore my natural moisture barrier. My skin was so dehydrated from all the acid use for my acne that it produced even more oil to compensate. I always woke up with dry, flaky, and parched skin and by midday, my skin was so oily. This moisturizer helped regulate my oil production and I no longer have to blot my face with a million blotting sheets every few hours. As for the last product, the Shiseido cotton pads are definitely life-changing. I was using drugstore cotton rounds for the longest because I didn't want to spend 10x the amount for something I would just throw away until my friend gifted me Shiseido's. After trying it for a few days and I became hooked. They are so soft and did not leave any cotton residues on my face. Also, I feel like my toner absorbed much better and I was using less of it. And because it is multilayered, I like to separate the layers and create my own DIY mask with leftover essence from sheet masks.

@GG84 One in the same! If you’re ever in LA, lets go shop for makeup. ❤️

@GG84 LOL!!! Did you get them? Girl...Life.Changing. They’re just so soft and absorb quickly. I’ve been doing hair since I was 18 and stopped when I had my 2nd son. I still do hair but focus on extensions only and I also bartend 2 nights a week. The tips I make on weekends is what supports my makeup and skincare addiction. Lol! That’s a true story.

Woah why have I not heard of these. I was using regular wash cloth but it felt so harsh on my skin that I started using tissue paper to dry my face. I definitely spend way too much on tissue paper and the cost of these individually aren't too bad for me to try them out. Just need to find a website with a good shipping deal. I like the dual functionality of these towels - being able to clean off makeup/cleanser and can act as an exfoliator. And the hook is a plus! Thanks for the recommendation! Also, how are the towels holding up after each wash?

Re: RE: Holy Grails for Winter

@juliehnguyen I’ve washed mine at least 30 times and they’re perfectly fine. I do keep them in their own specific bin and wash them separately. I’ve seen them on amazon. A pack of 10 will cost you $20-30. So buying direct from The Rag Company will definitely be cheaper. It will be much more inexpensive to buy those than tissue paper! It doesn’t flake off and pill on your face? I can’t reccomend them enough. I know it’s extra but it’s worth it. My kids and husband know they better not use them on their boy/man hands! Lol

For the winter months i'm all about moisture. After 12 ho...

RE: Holy Grails for Winter

Belief Moisturizer and Dr Jart liquid and cream for sure as well.

RE: Holy Grails for Winter

I totally agree with you @xseriox for the Dr. Jart+ Cream. I'm not sure which of the cream is your HG but I find the cicapair cream slightly too occlusive for my combination skin. I began apply it only on areas that were irritated and inflamed but I was thinking of giving it a try again now that the weather is drier. I actually have not heard much about the liquid. Did you see more results when using both the liquid and cream?

Re: RE: Holy Grails for Winter

Sorry I should of mentioned the Ceramidin cream and liquid. I prefer the cream over the liquid but the liquid does give it a nice extra hydration
