Hii

Guys I'm new but I need a good cleanser/moisterizer. Any ideas?

Re: Hii

Kiehl’s moisturizer is the BEST. The only downside is it’s a little pricey. If you’re open to trying a milky toner, you could try Laneige. I am on tretinoin which dries out my face so bad, and these two products have made the biggest difference.

For cleanser, I think any of the La Roche-Posay cleansers are good - my favorite is the Toleriane Hydrating Gentle Face Cleanser.

Re: Hii

For moisturizers, I usually prefer La Roche-Posay’s toleriane, but i also love the La Neige ones!

Re: Hii

La Roche-Posay has some really good cleansers for various skin types! Otherwise I love the Cerave oil cleanser for when my skin feels more dry.

Re: Hii

For a beginner the most important thing is matching your cleanser to your skin type rather than just grabbing whatever is popular, and if you're also thinking about EU compliant formulations or want to understand what's actually in the products you're choosing, there's a good resource I've pointed people to before at https://myswisslab.com/cosmetic-consultant/ that breaks down what to look for from a formulation and safety standpoint.

Re: Hii

@Sara6741 @What is your skin type and concern(s)?

Re: Hii

Hi @Sara6741, how would you describe your skin - normal? dry? oily? combination? Having an idea may give us a better idea of what products to recommend. If you are not sure, that's fine, just let us know.

I saw you recommend in another post Cerave Cetaphil and La Roche-Posay - which product(s) do you like from those brands? Are there cleansers or moisturizers from those brands that you've used that are not quite giving you the results you're looking for? If there are products that fit within that last question, let us know and folks here may be able to use that info to make recommendations best suited to your preferences / skin's needs.
