Hands

What are some best hand lotion for dry winter? And around cuticle?

Re: Hands

@EPaden I really like Ahava Mineral Hand Cream.  They don't sell it at Sephora, but you can order from their website.  Trader Joe's Ultra Moisturizing Hand Cream is really good too and so so inexpensive.  I read this article a while back that suggested that the TJs hand cream was the same formulation as L'OCCITANE - Hand Creams. I've used both and they feel similar, but not sure if it's true.

Re: Hands

I recently moved from the lovely humid Florida to a cold mountain top in N Georgia and started restoring an old cabin. My hands have been totally beat up from sanding and painting and cleaning etc and had actually become very uncomfortable, dry and itchy. I tried various different products but discovered a hand cream by Eucerin in Publix, formulated for eczema. This stuff is incredible!! It blows everything else out of the water and truly has healed my rough, hard worked hands. And it is cheap, so thats great too!

RE: Hands

I have super sensitive skin and my hands crack and bleed if I don’t put lotion on (thanks grandma!) and I use Eucerin Roughness Relief Lotion, castor oil in my cuticles at night, plain old Aquaphor on my lips and like anywhere you’re dry- yes, I actually gave up my Laneige lip mask after recently discovering this works a ton better, and if it’s a desperate situation my go to for 10+ years has been Kiehl’s Intensive Treatment and Moisturizer for dry or callused areas— it’s incredible!!! I hope this helps ☺️

Re: Hands

My handcream is a drugstore brand and almost embarrassing to offer, but it’s absolutely the best and I have spent so much money on hand creams! It is Gold Bond Healing Hand Cream. Somehow, it is able to soak in and still leave your hands feeling moisturized for quite a while. The best cuticle cream I have found for the same super dry hands, also after trying tons, is Eve Lom Cuticle Cream. The really low cost of the handcream offsets the price of the cuticle cream. The two together are almost magical!

Re: Hands

Despite that Cake reformulated, they still make my fave hand cream. It smells amazing (a bit like vanilla cake, but a nice sweet, that’s not cloying), and it’s the most effective of any lotion I’ve purchased, and there have been many. 😄 @Anonymous

Re: Hands

I really like the Skinfix Eczema+ Hand Repair Cream 3 oz/ 89 mL . I use it during the day, but I need to use something heavier/ more occlusive at night time. The unscented Neutrogena Norwegian formula has been a family HG for years now.

Re: Hands

@SportyGirly125 I've always wanted to try the L'OCCITANE - Hand Creams.  I've gifted them, but have never had the pleasure.

Re: Hands

@greeneyedgirl107 It’s really good. Hopefully you get to try it.

Re: Hands

@Anonymous  I really like Ahava Mineral Hand Cream.  It feels great and absorbs quickly.  The L'occitane hand creams are really good too

Re: Hands

@Anonymous I can't say enough good things about Neutrogena's Norwegian Formula Hand Cream.  Beyond HG status.  I keep two at work, one in my purse, one in the bedroom, one in the bathroom, and one in my living room...as well as literally over a dozen hoarded in my closet...The best part is that you only need a little bit at a time.  I find the key is to apply every single time I wash my hands.

Best of luck!  🙂

Re: Hands

@greeneyedgirl107 That sounds like my mom 😛 She distributes them to every family member in the fall & always have a few backups. It's truly a family HG!
