HG Sunscreen?!

I’m still in search of a good sunscreen. One that sits well under foundation, non greasy and doesn’t peel.. please let me know your fave!! I’ve already tried: supergoop, shiseido, murad, dermalogica, elta md...

Re: HG Sunscreen?!

I would try getting a sample of the ABH primer that has SPF 50! If you have combination to dry skin its perfect for that skin type, and since it is a primer, it sits beautifully under your makeup.

HG Sunscreen?!

Not on sephora, but the Biore UV aqua rich watery essence is very highly rated. It has the texture of a serum - its watery, almost clear, not at all sticky, tacky, or greasy, and absorbs quickly. I've never seen a sunscreen with this texture before. I got mine on Amazon, 2 for 32CAD and free shipping. No white cast, and it feels like nothing on. No issues with makeup application on top.

Re: HG Sunscreen?!

hundred percent recommend Biore UV Aqua Rich. There are a few versions but i personally like the Gel version.

my partner uses the watery essence version

I put together a little curated research piece here if you're interested! A lot of reddit reviews + Lab muffin's rec as well.

Take note of the formulation differences too!! It can differ if you get the Japan version vs the US version, etc.

@kisanka i've been looking into this sunscreen for a while!! how did you know which one to buy on amazon? there are so many different varieties. did you feel it works well? thanks!

Re: HG Sunscreen?!

A similar but less expensive version is the Nivea Sun Protect Super Water Gel SPF 50 PA+++ @ariannasaurus. It is only PA +++ instead of PA++++. But it's a good daily sunscreen that I haven't had issues interfering with makeup ..though I'm not a huge makeup wearer.

@ShortErica thanks for the suggestion! did you find this nivea on amazon as well? I'm actually pretty keen to try the Biore, but I'm confused on which one out of the many options on amazon to try! both of these look like great options though 🙂

Re: HG Sunscreen?!

Google "Which Biore Sunscreen Should I Choose? | Wonect.Life" @ariannasaurus

It gives a great rundown of the options and what should be/can be used for what purpose. I'm guessing the Biore Aqua Rich Watery Essence that @kisanka recommended.

Re: HG Sunscreen?!

thanks so much!!

RE: HG Sunscreen?!

Have you tried Obagi Mate sunscreen. It’s non greasy and feels like a moisturizer not a sunscreen.

Re: HG Sunscreen?!

@Badgalcincin - If you don't mind alcohol as an ingredient, I really like the Skin Aqua Sarafit Essence. It's lightweight and dries down quickly. Missha Sun Milk in the Soft Finish or Mild Essence version are also nice too.

@BadgalcincinUnidentified

I'll second CoTz. I've tried several this year, and keep coming back to this one. It never pills on me and does a great job of just evening things out without being too heavily tinted. I don't wear anything over mine except for powder, but I had many pill up on me over my skincare. It doesn't sting my eyes if I get sweaty and it's also relatively reasonably priced, which is a nice bonus.

This is the one I use, but like mentioned before, they make a few varietiesScreenshot_20180901-021050.png

Re: HG Sunscreen?!

Cotz, made to act as a primer. It's not liquid, more smooth, comes in tinted and not, mineral spf.

You've most likely have tried different methods when spf isn't working, some thoughts: too much product being used, not playing well with your moisturizer and/or foundation, not dried down enough in between layers, temperature too warm/humid and on the skin.
