Glowing Look- How to get shiny skin

Hey!

Can anyone recommend any really good products to get a glowing look so your skin looks shiny?  I have pretty dry skin so I find it hard to get a glowing look.

Thanks!

A radiance Primer such as the Nars radiance Primer. It give a nice natural  glow.

Adding an oil to your skin before applying foundation helps. I use a Ren product that was introduced to me at Sephora, but is no longer available there. Rose O12 Moisture Defence Serum. I pat 2 drops all over, concentrating more on my cheeks and forehead. gives a great glow. You can also mix the drops in with your liquid foundation (I like Too Faced Born This Way) and apply with a sponge or brush or with your fingers (whatever works for you). Other options are foundations or setting sprays or powders with illuminators (glittery products). Burberry has a medium coverage foundation that gives a glowing finish. Recommended by Allure. Coverfx has a setting spray that gives a glowing effect with illuminators (shake very well until you hear a metal ball rattling & pump at half pressure all over). Becca highlighting powder is a nice option as well if you prefer a pressed powder formula. Test to see what amount of application works for you. Do not use mattifying primers. Guerlain L'Or Radiance Primer is great for a glowing look. Just some different suggestions, in case you have any sensitivities to certain things.

Re: Glowing Look- How to get shiny skin

I get more glowy skin through skin care and makeup. I do a more deep cleaning mask (Origins charcoal mask) every two weeks, a more gentle exfoliating mask 1-2 times a week (recently I've been using Peter Thomas Roth's pumpkin enzyme, though it's not my favorite), and then I use a moisturizing mask in the morning 3-4 times a week. Every morning I use a very gentle face wash, and then I apply a face oil and a thick moisturizer (in the humid summer I only apply a moisturizer šŸ˜‰ ).

After the moisturizer soaks in, I use a primer (Smashbox), and then (very important!) I mix a makeup oil with my foundation to make sure it doesn't become flaky and dry in the bitter cold. I like Milk's makeup oil, but there are a ton of options out there.

Good luck!

Hi. I’d like to ask you if you have tried a facial oil with Vit C?

Vitamin C serum is a great start. I personally love Ole Henriksen's Truth serum! It smells heavenly, is lightweight, absorbs quickly, isn't sticky, and is pretty reasonably priced when compared to other brands. šŸ™‚

I think what the other 2 post suggested are great! I agree with them.

In terms of makeup, I'd go for a dewy primer such as the Becca backlight primer: https://www.sephora.com/product/becca-primer-collection-P427619?skuId=1901859&icid2=products%20grid:...

@Summaly I would definitely recommend a Hydrating Essence. Korean Beauty is truly amazing and have very affordable products. Jump on YouTube and search the 7 skin method. All it is is applying a Hydrating Essence 7 times in a row. It will hydrate and plump your skin for a gorgeous glow. I did it daily to get where I want and now I do it every other day. After that, you apply your regular moisturizer and sunscreen and you’re good to go! This is the Essence I use and swear by as my Hydrator. I also use Amore Pacific Vintage Essence but it’s very expensive and meant for one application.

hi! i found that in order to have glowing skin, you need to have exfoliated skin. i LOVE the boscia skin peel. i use it every morning andfollow it with the mario badascu aloe toner. i then use origins original skin serum and no7 facial oil. these work wonders for me
