Forehead bumps

Hi I have these bumps on my forehead and they aren't acne. Any suggestions on how to make them go away?

Re: Forehead bumps

If you're comfortable sharing, I would be interested in seeing a picture.  When I was younger I developed bumps along my forehead as well.  Nothing like acne, they were skin-colored, larger than pore-sized.  Not that noticeable unless you were looking for them.  They appeared in the summer for a couple summers in a row.  Lol not very helpful, but I never did figure out what it was, they just went away.  Must have been sun related somehow, though.

I will tell you -- my brother in law is a dermatologist, and every single time, every single time, anyone asks him anything, I've heard him say it so many times -- are you using anything new? It doesn't matter if you're showing him a rash on your neck or a sore on your ankle, any sort of new skin issue he immediately suspects the culprit to be something new to your environment.  It's not always the case but it often is.  It's not necessarily something obvious like a skincare cream.  Could be something you are putting in your hair.  Or on your head. Or in your laundry.  Or even eating.  Or did the heating just go on in your house... you know where I'm going with this? Inflammation and irritation show up visibly on the skin and there are just so many environmental factors.  If it is some new product you've introduced ( laundry detergent, hair product) you can cut it out and it will be an easy fix, but other things are a lot trickier.

Re: Forehead bumps

Thanks! I have had these for a while now and I am not sure why! I finally decided to take action and try out a new skin care routine. Hopefully, it will help my skin. I have extremely dry skin so it maybe due to not moisturizing properly. Just spent a lot on skin care and hoping it will work!

Re: Forehead bumps

@Labiba thanks for the pictures. While the bumps are not as noticeable to everyone else as they probably seem to you, I do think that they can be cleared up by some skin treatments.

There are a number of treatments/masks that could do the job.  I would recommend the HERBIVORE - Blue Tansy AHA + BHA Resurfacing Clarity Mask, the chemical exfoliants will gently even out your skin and clear out your pores. An AHA mask would be more targeted for you than an AHA toner.  Another option is a clay or "detoxifying" mask, which there are any number of .. GLAMGLOW - SUPERMUD® Activated Charcoal Treatment, or BOSCIA - Luminizing Black Charcoal Maskto name a few.  Also because these are showing up on your forehead, I would bet that what is happening is oil from your hair is transferring onto your skin.  I don't know if you could use a hair band when you sleep or exercise, but it's something to consider.

To prevent the problem, a gentle glycolic (AHA) toner or serum should keep your pores clear and healthy for the future.

There are a couple of mask gift sets right now if you want to find a deal.

Good luck and healthy skin to you.  🙏

Re: Forehead bumps

Without a picture it really is hard to tell exactly what it could be, but closed comedones on the forehead seem to be pretty common and don't always look acneic. Developing a simple and consistent skincare routine would be the first step in addressing the issue, as well as seeing if you can get it checked out by a dermatologist. Making sure you properly hydrate and moisturize is very important, because oftentimes texture issues can be an issue due to a compromised moisture barrier. If you think that you have hydration and moisturization down pretty well, adding actives in the form of AHA's and BHA's for chemical exfoliation can do wonders. Also, don't forget sunscreen during the day!

RE: Forehead bumps

@Labiba have you tried exfoliating? I would also try drunk elephant TLC Framboos it will help clear dead skin cells away. Maybe it’s a build up. I also like the glam glow mask I like how I can see all the oils being pulled out of my skin.

Re: RE: Forehead bumps

I have extremely dry skin except my nose area. It might be a reason why. I have had these for a while but I just didn't take any action yet. I am trying a new skin care routine and hopefully that will help.

Thanks for the suggestions!
