First time Retinol

Hi guys!

I'm looking for a serum-type retinol. First time user, so I would like to have some suggestions. I already have my night cream so that's why I'm looking for more of a serum-type one. I was looking for Drunk Elephant  but I've heard it's pretty strong so I would like something for more sensitive skin to start.

Any ideas?

Thanks 🙂

RE: First time Retinol

Hey rocemilie give biossance phyto retinol serum a try. It’s a retinol alternative and is great for sensitive skin. Start slow only a few times a week and work your way up. Also Sunday Riley Luna oil is one of my favorites. Now it’s a retinol not an alternative and has blue tansy to help clam the skin. Just a few drops at night and make sure to rub it in real good. Again start slow and increase as needed.

Re: First time Retinol

@Roxemilie The texture of DR. DENNIS GROSS SKINCARE - Ferulic + Retinol Triple Correction Eye Serum is very nice.  I wonder if DR. DENNIS GROSS SKINCARE - Ferulic + Retinol Wrinkle Recovery Overnight Serumwould work for you.  I have tried (and currently use) the former, but not the latter.

First time Retinol

Hey there! I'd recommend the Dermalogica Overnight Retinol Repair, it's a little box that comes with the retinol and a buffer cream. This is the best place to start with a retinol as the buffer cream acts as such so you start by mixing more buffer cream (3 parts) than the retinol (1 part) and as you work your skin up to a comfortable level you can do 2/1 and then 1/1 and then eventually just the retinol. Perfect for beginners. just make sure you use it at night and use SPF in the morning and if possible throughout the day. I hope this helped! Kass😁

RE: First time Retinol

I really like The Ordinary retinol. it’s great because you can buy it at different retinol “percentages,” meaning you can work your way up if you’re a little nervous about starting at home — which I definitely was. Good luck! 💕
