Facial cleanser

What are peoples best recommendations for a basic daily facial cleanser?

Re: Facial cleanser

The company Fresh has a good cleanser for everyday use. Tatcha has a cleansing oil if you wear alot of makeup.

Re: Facial cleanser

Night time it's either Ole Hendriksen's The Clean Truth (removes EVERYTHING) and Algenist's Purifying and Replenishing Cleanser.  Mornings it's Elizabeth Arden 2-in-1 Cleanser (with a toner built in).  I have really, really oily skin.

RE: Facial cleanser

I love the Origins checks and balances frothy cleanser and the Kate somerville daily foaming one. I go between them both.

Re: Facial cleanser

My favorite cleansers are Philosophy's Purity Made Simple, FAB Facial Cleanser, and Fresh Soy Cleanser. I use Purity the most and will swap in the other two when I have samples or if I'm traveling and don't want to take my huge 16oz bottle of Purity with me lol. If I'm on a budget I will usually get a cleanser from the Neutrogena Naturals line, and I like to keep a bottle of their Pink Grapefruit Face Wash on hand in case I feel a breakout brewing.

RE: Facial cleanser

My absolute favorite cleansers are both from the brand Michael Todd. I use the Grapeseed Cleansing Oil every morning. At night I use different cleansers depending on whether or not I wore makeup that day. If I did not wear makeup I use the Grapeseed Cleansing Oil again. If I did wear makeup I use the Damascus Rose cleanser along with my Soniclear. I always go back to these cleansers. They are very gentle and do exactly what I need them to do. These always clear my skin up and keep it clear too!

RE: Facial cleanser

By far the best is La Roche Posay Effaclar. It is the number one recommended one by dermatologists. I will not use any thing else!!!! Hope this helps!

I have sensitive, eczema prone combination skin and I alternate a gentle exfoliator one day (I like the Aveeno brand ones) with plain old Cetaphil the next. It's been keeping my skin even, soft and glowy.

RE: Facial cleanser

A good daily facial wash is Origins Zero Oil Deep Pore Cleanser. It leaves your skin very soft and smooth. It also can become very foamy if you work it enough.

Re: Facial cleanser

I have oily, acne-prone skin and even after trying a ton of cleansers, I always go back to Philosophy's Purity.

RE: Facial cleanser

Amorepacific treatment cleansing foam is my favorite from Sephora

RE: Facial cleanser

I love love love Murad's Essential-C Cleanser. So gentle yet effective. It has a light citrus fragrance and leaves my sensitive skin perfectly balanced. I've noticed I get far fewer blemishes when I use it. I got it as a sample and I've already repurchased twice.

I reeeeeally like Jordan Samuels Plie Cleanser. It's a gel to oil and just wonderful. It does leave a residue though so you have to use a muslin.

Re: Facial cleanser

@Amanderin - I have combo/oily skin.  Two gentle cleansers that do a good job of removing makeup are Philosophy Purity Made Simple and First Aid Beauty Facial Cleanser.  I've been using both for many years.

A cleanser I love with salicylic acid, is very refreshing, and is good at removing makeup (and it smells great) is Peter Thomas Roth Anti-aging Cleansing Gel.  I've been using this one for years.  I use this one in the morning and switch between the the two above in the afternoon.

Pictures of products in spoiler.

Re: Facial cleanser

It honestly depends on the skin type you have. For me, I have oily combination skin and these are my favorites, and I have tried quite a few

This is also great, it's cleanses the hell out of your face and it's super sensitive and leaves your face super cleanThis is also great, it's cleanses the hell out of your face and it's super sensitive and leaves your face super clean

This is what I am currently using and I love it, its definitely for oily skin, my friend who has dry skin hated it . This cleanser is great for oily skin because it sucks all the unnecessary oils out of your face, hence the balance in the name, it does not leave your skin feeling deprived of moisture either. I use the a pea size amount, a little goes a long way. I dot it on my face and wet my foreo and go to townThis is what I am currently using and I love it, its definitely for oily skin, my friend who has dry skin hated it . Re: Facial cleanser

is that good for really oily skin?

Re: Facial cleanser

Yes it is great

RE: Facial cleanser

Consonant foaming face wash!! Whats so good about it is that it's all natural ingredients very gentle and also it already comes out as a foam so you don't need to create the bubbles.

Re: Facial cleanser

@Amanderin I really like Neutrogena's Fresh Foaming Cleanser.  I know some BICers don't care for foaming washes, though.  I am currently looking into other options for liquid cleanser to see if they make a difference for me.

RE: Facial cleanser
