Facial Cleanser / Blemish control

I have a combination of dry/oily skin any recommendations ? I usually use St.Ives Apricot Scrub but my birthday is in 3 days and I need to get rid of these little blemish problems asap 😩

RE: Facial Cleanser / Blemish control

I used to use that scrub too! From a fellow dry/oily combo skin girl some drugstore cleansers - Cetaphil foam cleanser for oily or combo skin, Cetaphil gentle skin cleanser for all skin types, Cerave cleanser for combo skin. Sephora cleansers - Fresh Soy Face, Philosophy cleanser Scrub - Ole Henriksen Walnut scrub (if you loved the St Ives you'll love this) Blemish Control - Mario Badescu blemish control (from Urban Outfitters) is the dupe for the Kate Somerville one (from Sephora)

Make sure that you avoid skin products containing coconut deravatives or SLS's, they're known pore cloggers and skin triggers to break you out !

Re: Facial Cleanser / Blemish control

My tried and true cleanser is Noxzema's cream cleanser. It comes in a big blue tub (or you can also buy it in a blue bottle but I prefer the tub). I like to remove my makeup with micellar water and then slather this on my face like a mask, wait about 15 minutes, and then wash it all off. Cleanses wonderfully but never strips skin. I have no idea why it works so well but it does. I've tried navigating away from it before but I always come back because nothing compares!

Re: Facial Cleanser / Blemish control

I use the same, but haven't left it on before. I will try it because I've noticed it doesn't completely remove my makeup. Love the noxzema tub & smell

Re: Facial Cleanser / Blemish control

I would also suggest double cleansing- I always use micellar water before.

Re: Facial Cleanser / Blemish control

I've learned about Palmer's medicated soap bar and heard good things about it! I'm going to try it myself. And also witch hazel as a toner BEFORE the soap and aloe Vera gel as a moisturizer. Good luck!

RE: Facial Cleanser / Blemish control

Try using cetaphil you don't want to dry out your face too much! Cetaphil as the cleanser and Mario badescu drying lotion for the breakouts. Make sure you moisturize!

Re: Facial Cleanser / Blemish control

I love the Fresh Soy Cleanser because it gets all the gunk off and it won't aggravate your skin. For fast action against pimples try the Mario Badescu drying lotion (Ulta) or the Kate Somerville EradiKate (Sephora)

Re: Facial Cleanser / Blemish control

I've been trying the CosRX line and have noticed that i have less blemishes, and when I do still have them, they come to the surface a lot quicker.

The first aid beauty deep cleansing red clay skin rescue is very good with fast results 🙂
