Eye cream recs please!

I have dark circles and fatigue and the only thing that keeps the circles at bay is the Chanel Sublimage eye cream. It’s $240 which is a LOT. I am 39 and take very good care of my skin which isn’t cheap but the price of the Chanel eye cream is OTT. Please share any recs if eye products that are more reasonable and give RESULTS

RE: Eye cream recs please!

I use Estée Lauder and Charlotte Tilbury products for skin care and makeup. Presently use Charlotte’s Magic Cream!🌸

@toomuchmkup I rec going onto beautypedia and searching their "best of" list for eye creams and choosing one on your target budget.  Also, you can search out what ingredients you like from the Chanel and try them in other products - like a booster, moisturizer, etc.  You don't have to use a specialized eye cream per se.  Good luck!  🙂

RE: Eye cream recs please!

Hey, sounds like you might have an inherited problem and if genetic, nothing will remive under eye dark circles. The Chanel product is a fine product if issues related to dryness, lack of sleep, hydration and puffiness, your prospects for elimination are good. That being the case, the suggestions already posted are great, less £ alternative. I’m turning 58 next month and plagued by inherited dark circles. There is nothing any product can do for this, and a top of the line concealer is your best bet: Lancôme, Chanel, YSL- making certain to prime and set. Laura Mercier has great undereye setting powders. The problem with Vitamin C as skincare is it’s very unstable, and most products, even high end, do not have sufficient amts to make a difference, and poor packaging (bottles where you can see the product inside) limits shelf life. Another suggestion is to invest in a couple of consults with aesthetic dermatologists for recommendations about your skin type, etc., and get an RX for Retinol cream. You might need more than one consult with different docs to get enough advice for what might work for you - Good luck, Laurie

@toomuchmkup  I also have bad dark circles. Mostly from lack of sleep. But I use SHISEIDO - White Lucent Anti-Dark Circles Eye Cream and I’ve had great results. I also do a mixture of MILK MAKEUP - Watermelon Brightening Serum and TATCHA - The Pearl Tinted Eye Illuminating Treatment in the mornings. I’ve seen my dark circles fade to almost disappear

Hi @toomuchmkup,

I recommend looking into an eye cream with brightening ingredients like Vitamin C or Licorice root with help brighten the under eye area. I really like the Drunk Elephant C-Tango™ Vitamin C Eye Cream 0.5 oz/ 15 mL.

The DR. DENNIS GROSS SKINCARE - Ferulic + Retinol Triple Correction Eye Serum which is popular here on BIC also has licorice root in it.
