Drunk Elephant Retinol

I feel like my skin has gotten better in the week that I have tried the Drunk Elephant retinol cream. I'm using it for acne and hyperpigmentation (dark acne scars) that I have. it says to use it once a week but doesn't specify how many weeks to do that until trying 2 or 3 times a week. Has anyone used the Drunk Elephant Retinol and had success? Also using Caudalie vinoperfect essence and serum for hydration and for help with dark spots as well since the weather has gotten colder. I've been alternating washing my face with Innisfree Juju Tangerine brightening cleanser and The Inkey List Salicylic acid cleanser (usually closer to my period).

RE: Drunk Elephant Retinol

Love this cream! I use this at least 2 times a week and love that I can wake up, apply my skincare and not need makeup to feel my best! Best recommendation for how often to use it is definitely to pay attention to your skin; I mix this with Lala retro and b-hydra to cool and soothe my skin while it handles the retinol.

Can you mix it with non-Drunk Elephant moisturizers? Or d...

Can you mix it with non-Drunk Elephant moisturizers? Or does it only work with DE products?

Re: Drunk Elephant Retinol

@OtakuRN  When I started using A passioni my skin tolerated it well so on week 2 I started using it twice a week and on week 3 I moved up to 3 times a week.

Re: Drunk Elephant Retinol

@OtakuRN There really is no set timeline on when to increase the frequency of use because everyone's skin will likely react to it differently. I'm not a skincare expert by any means, but I think you can increase the frequency of use depending on how your skin is tolerating it. For instance, when I first started using Drunk Elephant's retinol cream my skin became very red and sensitive, almost like I had a burn. It took a while before I stopped having this reaction and was able to use it more than once a week. Now I use it every other night without a problem. 🙂 If your skin is handling the retinol cream well, you should be able to try using it more than just once a week and see how it goes.

I'll apply it this Tuesday (since I started last Tuesday)...

I'll apply it this Tuesday (since I started last Tuesday) and them maybe try applying it again on Thursday or Friday to see of I can tolerate twice a week. Thank you.
