Dr Jart

My skin has been acting sensitive and more dry around my nose so I was looking at the Dr Jart skincare, specially the Dermaclear micro water, micro foam cleanser and water drop hydrating moisturizer. Has anyone tried this brand with feedback to share?

RE: Dr Jart

Thanks for the feedback!!

Re: Dr Jart

I use the Water Drop moisturizer everyday. I usually use a serum in certain areas and then go in with the Water Drop. The texture is thick, but smooths out and you only need a tiny amount. Around my nose is one of the main reasons I use this. It goes into my skin, but I don’t feel like it evaporates into nothing after I put it on.

Re: Dr Jart

I am a big fan of the Dr. Jart+ line in general.  Of the Dr. Jart+ products you listed, I've only tried the Water Drop Hydrating Moisturizer.  It's a good moisturizer - lighter gel-like texture, absorbs quickly and it sits well under makeup. I have combination-dry, dehydrated and sensitive skin.  This product doesn't break me out but since my skin is on the drier side and dehydrated, I pair this with a hydrating serum and sometimes another moisturizer.  If you are just dry around the nose, then this might work out well for you.

I don't know if you've tried other Dr. Jart+ skincare products, but his Ceramidin Liquid and Ceramidin Cream are both excellent products.  The Ceramindin Liquid is very light, and I use it like a moisturizer in the summer months and more like a serum or underneath another moisturizer in the fall/winter months.  The cream version, as the name would suggest, is thicker, but it doesn't feel that way on my skin. His sheet masks are also great - I always have a couple on hand - very hydrating.

Re: Dr Jart

I thought about buying the Dr. Jart liquid but alcohol was too high on the ingredient list. I do like the cream though. The cream is on my VIB sale list.

RE: Dr Jart

I haven't tried this line but I have tried other products from him. I have his gel mask sampler and have tried his new creams for dealing with environmental redness. The masks seem to do nothing, and the creams made me breakout with tiny little bumps and blackheads (very unusual for my skin). I wouldn't consider myself to have terribly sensitive skin. Overall, I don't really like his stuff, but the beauty of sephora is that if you buy something you don't love you can return it even if you've tried/used it a couple of times. I spent hundreds on a new line that wreaked havoc on my skin and they took everything back without a problem. Do check out first aide beauty. Their stuff seems pretty gentle and is my go to when I get too much sun. Good luck!
