Does face masks expire

I’ve had the boscia charcoal pore pudding for over a year. I haven’t reached for it in quite a while but tonight I thought I’d try it. The consistency of it still has moisture but it’s a little thicker than I remember. Is it expired? Will it be bad for my skin if it is expired? (I already put it on) so far I’m not getting any negative reactions to it.

Does face masks expire

On the back there should be a mini jar sign. that tells you the date from opening. I would look up the manufacturing code. Usually if it smells bad or the consistency changes it's either old/improperly stored/expired. EDIT: in a rush didn't see someone had mentioned the jar sign.

@kash11415 The website Check Cosmetics dot net gives an idea if expired or not from inputting the manufacturer code.

@kash11415   Yes, all skincare eventually expires. Check the bottle. Most items have an icon that looks something like this:

In this example, the product expires 12 months after opening. For others it might be 3 months or 6 months, etc.

Re: Does face masks expire

Yeah for some reason I can’t find a symbol that says that. That’s the first thing I looked for before I put it on but it didn’t have one

Re: Does face masks expire

That's because those symbols only started getting printed on all products in 2018.

Re: Does face masks expire

The US FDA doesn't require expiration symbols and has a write up from 2018, so it's not on all products.
