Confession Time!

This morning, as I did my skincare routine, I reached for my Summer Fridays Mini Jet Lag Mask + Moisturizer 1 oz / 28 g like usual. And then…it hit me! I know this product is a mask and not a moisturizer, but a while back I started using it that way and have never looked back or even thought twice about it! It got me thinking…what products do the BIC use the “wrong way” because they work oh so “right” like that?!

Re: Confession Time!

Haha, I did the same thing with Topicals Like Butter Mask for Dry, Sensitive & Eczema-Prone Skin 1.7 oz/ 50 mL and used it as a body lotion for my back when I ran out of lotion @Haley4356

Re: Confession Time!

@Haley4356  Many leave-on facial masks, including "sleep masks," are really just moisturizers labeled with a different marketing term. 😉 Their ingredient lists usually contain at least one good moisturizing ingredient; in Jet Lag's case, it's shea butter and ceramides. I'm glad it's worked well for you as a moisturizer!

I'll have to think a bit about any skincare products I misuse... nothing springs to mind right now. I use Aquaphor Ointment for many different things (daily lip balm, eye cream, extra-occlusive facial moisturizer as needed, windburn protection, flaky patchy skin healer, minor wound protector/healer, barrier to keep certain products away from my lash lines, etc.), but there's really no single "right" way to use it anyway.

Re: Confession Time!

Ooh yes, we consumers definitely have to careful and wise on how these companies market their products! Usually a night cream is just either heavier cream or simply a moisturizer! If you find a really good one, it’s both hydrating and moisturizing  😳 laneige water sleeping mask is way too good to only be using at night! Also thanks for the rec, going to check out this jet lag

Re: Confession Time!

@Haley4356  Yes! I love using Jet leg as a moisturizer also or an eye cream! I have been using hair conditioner as a shaving cream. And I’ve never looked back!!

Re: Confession Time!

@ather Glad to hear it’s not just me using it as a moisturizer! 😅 What a good idea about the conditioner!! I’ll have to try that!
