Cleansers

What is a really good exfoliator and a good face cleanser? My skin is combination, but mostly dry.

Re: Cleansers

I have the same type of skin-I always had an oily t-zone with acne, and then my cheeks were dry which caused those little bumps that are like zits. I had been using Cetaphil for years until a woman at Sephora recommended Origin's Checks & Balances. I got a sample and it's such a potent face wash that the tiny sample lasted almost 2 weeks for me. My skin is so "normal" now I don't think I'll ever use a different facewash. It's $25 which seems like a lot for facewash compared to drug store prices, but you really do only need a pea-sized amount to get off even a full face of make-up.

Cleansers

I use a combination of both - some pepple don't like it, but my skin has been blemish free since using it - Neutrogena Pore Refining Exfoliating Cleanser. It contains chemical exfoliants so be careful of sun sensitivity, but overall it's an AMAZING drugstore product that I use everyday.

Re: Cleansers

A great cleanser: First Aid Beauty Face cleanser is great for all skin types. It's moisturizing but not overly so. A little goes a long way and you get a lot of product if you purchase the bigger size.

Exfoliators: Clinique 7-day scrub cream (cream formula doesn't dry your skin), First Aid Beauty facial radiance pads (a quick way to exfoliate, just swipe the pad over your face), Peter Thomas Roth Firmx Peeling Gel (very gentle gel)

Re: Cleansers

@kxylaw Iโ€™m not even kidding, I used to use 3 different cleansers that were ridiculously expensive. I traded them all in for CeraVe Hydrating and CeraVe SA Cleanser...both $10 and the drugstore! The Hydrating Cleanser is so gentle and non-foaming. Itโ€™s perfect for the daytime when you have no makeup on. The SA Cleanser has salicylic acid and will help remove all your makeup at night. I double cleanse and this is perfect for that. I canโ€™t begin to explain how amazing these cleansers are.

As as far as exfoliators, I prefer acid to scrubs. Pixiโ€™s Glow Tonic is amazing. Use it on a cotton round morning and night and youโ€™re good to go.
