Cleanser for sensitive skin?

Hi! I’m having a trouble finding a cleanser for my rosacea-prone skin.

Kiehl’s changed the ingredients of their Calendula face wash, so I can’t use it no more w/o getting a flare up.

I tried The Kale cleanser and I got a rash.

same with the Cerave Foaming Cleanser.

Im currently not using face wash rn and using makeup wipes to remove makeup🥴

can anyone with sensitive/reactive skin recommend a cleaner. Thxs :(((

Re: Cleanser for sensitive skin?

I like Neutrogena Ultra Gentle daily cleanser. It’s perfect for mornings but not for removing make up. For removing make up I love Bioderma Micellar Water.

Re: Cleanser for sensitive skin?

Hello! I have been diagnosed with seborrheic dermatitis and I totally understand how frustrating it is to find non-toxic and suitable skincare products for issues like ours. I tried soooo many different cleansers (drugstore, high-end, etc.). The only ones that suited my skin as both a daily cleanser and makeup remover/cleanser were: Kiehl's ultra facial cleanser and Kiehl's cucumber herbal cleanser. I got the first one as a sample and it worked wonderfully so I ordered the bigger size. A few months ago, they had a sale so I also ordered the cucumber cleanser sample and I absolutely loved it, so I later got the toner as well. They work beautifully together. I would recommend you get both samples and try which works best for you. They both work great on my skin, I just mix and match depending on what I'm feeling like and if I was wearing heavy makeup or not. I highly recommend you get the toner as well because it got rid of all the redness and irritation I would get from dermatitis especially on days where I felt more stressed or the weather was extra hot/dry. Good luck, I hope you benefit from this post and enjoy using these products! 🙂

Re: Cleanser for sensitive skin?

My rosacea is bad. I use the First Aide Beauty cream cleanser or La Roche-Posay Toleriane gentle face wash with ceramide (normal to dry sensitive skin). Both are excellent and both have cleansers for oily skin as well that are for sensitive skin. All are fragrance free and none of the ingredients irritate my face at all.  Hope this helps.

Re: Cleanser for sensitive skin?

I suggest you see a Dermatologist. I have rosacea and he put me on ivermectin but also did a patch test. I am allergic to pretty much a lot of skincare, hygiene and beauty products ingredients. Right now, i just started with new products. I am using Cetaphil gentle skin cleanser. I can’t use wipes because they have ingredients that i am allergic to.

Re: Cleanser for sensitive skin?

Did you find one yet? I still find Korres foaming wash with yogurt to be the best gentle cleanser. But even the coffee scrub i used before is now a no-go for the irritation at causes.

For removing my makeup I use the Clean Genie balm as the first step in double cleansing. Wipe away with warm wet reusable cloth rounds. Clean genie because Sunday Riley's Blue Moon is hella expensive. But both are gentle ways to remove products.

Stay away from mists with framgrances. You posted a question saying you use a mist. They seem to all have fragrance.

The rose hip oil is still the best I have found for curing dryness without irritation. Korres has two oils; a Santorini grape oil that literally leaves skin like velvet and an olive oil that they claim can be used on body and face, but no. My cheeks flare. The velvet grape stuff is amazing. And not too expensive for the results.

Re: Cleanser for sensitive skin?

@davidLO123 if you are in the US, id suggest you to check Paula's Choice products.

I tried a few and they were really good for my super sensitive and reactive skin.

I say if you are in the US because ordering from Canada is way too pricy because of shipping.

You could still check it out and order, but if you are in Canada, be ready for $$$$$$

Also, the only makeup wipes that works with my face are the St-Yves wipe, ive never really had any redness with them.
