Cakey makeup

How do I avoid Cakey makeup?
Anonymous Insider

Re: Cakey makeup

I like to make sure my skin is nice and moisturized before anything goes on it. If is dry it can get patchy and won't blend in nicely. As well make sure you're using the right colour for your skin and a good applicator that gets everything nice and blended! 🙂

RE: Cakey makeup

I second exfoliation..also using the correct skin care for your skin type will help with the look of your makeup

RE: Cakey makeup

If your using a primer it might be too heavy for your skin type. Try a lighter weight primer or Urban Decays All nighter instead. If your using powder to set your makeup - use a damp beauty blender instead of a brush - that helps.

RE: Cakey makeup

Exfoliate (I recommended chemical exfoliation over manual), moisturize (even if you're oily) and use as little baseproduct(s) as possible. That would be my advice. Beautiful makeup starts with proper skin care. Good luck, if you have questions regarding which products to use I'm sure there's tons of recs here according to skin type.
