Blackheads

I have blackheads on my cheeks that will not go away. My problem before was pimples and now I barely get them. I have been using a few products but none seem to get rid of them. I double cleanse at night a few times with clarisonic, p50 lotion a few times a week, DE tlc framboos serum a few times a week. In the morning I just wash with water in the morning, DE c firma, a hydrating toner, caudalie vinopure aha serum. I use DE baby facial once a week. I have combo skin more on the dryer side. Not sure what I need to get rid of the blackheads and only located on both cheeks. It's been like this for a year now and looks bad with make up. What am I missing?

Re: Blackheads

@Dukakkis Since it's been a year, have you seen a dermatologist/doctor?

Sebaceous filaments tend to get confused with blackheads, both oil blockage. SFs aren't in a pattern nor rough to the touch, they can be temporarily removed. Blackheads have an oxidized head and can be removed.

You may want to get a facial with extractions.

For products, bha will break through the oil to unclog. Something  your'e using could be contributing.

ok thank you I will try that out

Yes I looked up both and they are stubborn blackheads. They nothing like what are on my nose. I have squeezed them before and it would come out, but I don't want to touch my face like that. I thought by bhas I use it would atleast tone them down. You are saying they are causing them ?

Took a look at ingredients,  you're using a lot of similar ingredients- acids, salicylic  acid. Usually using a lot of the same doesn't help faster. I would cut it down to one product and a basic routine, a current  product may be clogging the skin, and see a professional to figure out the cause.

Also you need spf daily, acid can cause sun sensitivity.

When the pores are "opened", like after a shower, try a clay mask just on the cheeks like ORIGINS - Clear Improvement® Active Charcoal Mask to Clear Pores

Re: Blackheads

They might not be blackheads, they might be sebaceous fillaments. These appear to be clogged pores. You can try using an oil & massaging the area for a few minutes to dislodge them, however they might still come back. I have a bunch on my nose too, and use a pore filling primer in that area to cover them before makeup.

I wish I can just use a primer. they are bumpy blackheads and my makeup make them show more. it's very frustrating.
