Blackheads

Just like you I have also tried soo many products and couldn't find a solution! I finally found my go to, Dr. Brandt pores no more vacuum cleaner! I would ask for a sample first if you're worried about the price. Also prep your skin first, make sure it's cleansed and use the steam from the shower to open up your pores. if you're concerned it'll dry you out try a moisturizer for your skin type! I apply the lapis balancing facial oil from Herbavoire directly after!

Re: Blackheads

So here's the thing about blackheads:They're actually called comedones and we get these because we have a build up of dead skin cells, sebum and topical debris in our sebaceous pores. This causes our pores to become enlarged and swell, sometimes becoming infected. Once removed from the skin we need to take care of your pores to prevent a recurrence. The best way to do that is to use a form of exfoliation. Which kind? Well it's up to you, but I always recommend my clients to do a multi step process of 1.) Cleanse the skin (highly recommend using a clarisonic or the clinique version) 2.) Use a physical or chemical exfoliation.Physical would be an exfoliating scrub. Chemical would be a form of Alpha Hydroxy Acid; Salysilic, Lactic, Glycolic, Mandelic or Tartaric (all these are naturally occurring no worries). These are often used in masks or chemical peels. It's up to you to pick which one, but I highly suggest going to a skin care professional to help decide which is best for you. Not all acids are good for all skin types and some can even irritate or worsen a skin condition. 3.) Next we need and HAVE to moisturize the skin. This is because we just stripped alot of your skin of its water and sebum. If you don't moisturize your skin can feel painfully tight and cause patchiness. 4.) Wear your SPF when going outside. Exfoliation can make your skin much more sensitive to sunlight, causing an increase in chances of Sun damage. Don't accidentally age your skin! Re: Blackheads

Salicylic Acid is the only thing that works to clear my blackheads. Well, that and Biore pore strips, but the glue on those isn't good for skin from what I've read.

Re: Blackheads

glamglow supermud mask. you can buy a smaller one because the larger one is quite expensive. its a really amazing products and works on all skin types to really draw out black heads and tighten pores

Re: Blackheads

I'll have to give this a try for sure!

Re: Blackheads

@Courtney0486 Have you tried products with salicylic acid?

Re: Blackheads

I haven't! My main concern is I also have dry skin and don't want to irritate it or dry it out even more

Re: Blackheads

I would not suggest using salysilic acid on dryer skin types because it can cause patchiness and a tight, intensely dry texture.

Try using a lactic or mandelic based product. These will give you close to the same results without irritating your skin type.
