Best serum

I am thinking about purchasing OleHenriksen Truth Serum. The reviews are favorable but I was wondering if there is a better Vitamin C serum.  I was looking for one that will help with firmness and maybe helping with shrinking of pores. My skin is combination (more on oily side) and does not seem to be very sensitive. Any suggestions/opinions?

Re: Best serum

Have you tried The Ordinary? The line has several Vitamin C choices to choose from, and it's very affordable.

Skinceuticals C E Ferulic is one of the best Vitamic C serums to tackle appearance of aging because of their golden trio: L-Asorbic Acid, Vitamin E, and Ferulic Acid. The reason why it's so expensive is because they patented the combination of the three - which is why you don't often see the products that have similar ratios or ingredients near their more preferable pH.

Alternative dupes:

  • Timeless 20% Vitamin C + E Ferulic Acid Serum 1 oz
  • Skin Actives Scientific Vitamin C Serum
  • NuFountain® C20®+Lightening 20% L-Ascorbic Acid Vitamin C Serum

OR, if you are interested, you can imitate a DIY kit of C E Ferulic serum.

Re: Best serum

Thank! I'll look into this.

Re: Best serum

I was using Skinceuticals Phloretin, however I wanted to find something a bit cheaper. This led me to purchase Sunday Riley C.E.O Rapid Flash Brightening Serum. I can say after using it everyday for 3 months, I love it. I think it works just as good as the Skinceuticals one and it is almost half the price. I will definitely  be repurchasing it.

Re: Best serum

Thanks. This is helpful and may be a more affordable approach.

Re: Best serum

skinceuticals ce ferulic is the best vitamin c serum - it's pricey but for me it's the only one i've tried that's worked. i've used drunk elephant, ole henricksen, dr. dennis gross, korres, murad, and dermadoctor, and none of them compare to skinceuticals. i get mine from dermstore

Re: Best serum

Power Pressed Serum by Algenist is my fave right now but insanely expensive.  Estee lauder Night serum is a close second
