Best retinol?

What’s the best most effective non-prescription retinol? I’ve been using drunk elephant’s retinol for the past couple months and I’m not sure I’m sold on it, I haven’t really noticed any results yet- I know it takes a lot longer with retinol than retin-A but I’m just wondering if there’s something better? What’s your favorite retinol cream/serum?

@AnnaCassandra I rec checking beautypedia's "best of" list for retinol products.  For me, concentration of retinol is very important.  I thought DE was 1%, which is a good amount for non-Rx.  You might have to give it a little longer.  Best of luck 🙂

They do claim it’s 1% but I’ve seen some sources say it’s plant derived from bukachiol so even though it’s proven effective I’m not sure if it’s as effective at the same percentage.

I have settled on Murad Retinol Serum as my favorite. On my second bottle. It caused no irritation for me. I could see more boost of clarity and radiance than with other retinol products.

@AnnaCassandra   When I have been lazy with my skin care routine and want a jump start the results, I use Alpha H's Beauty Sleep Power Peel.  I get very quick results from this, and the usage recommendation is two nights per week, which I think is adequate.  I've been using this for three years.

It contains both retinol and glycolic acid, plus shea butter, grape seed oil, aloe, and almond oil for moisture.
