Best products for forehead lines??

I am 43 years old and just now really getting into using makeup and skin care.  I have some pretty deep lines on my forehead that I would like to try to improve as much as I can without botox or other injections.  Anyone have any suggestions on something I can get at Sephora that I should try? My skin is normal/dry(winter).  Thank you in advance!

Re: Best products for forehead lines??

I’m also battling the forehead lines. I love Kate Somerville ExfoliKate® Cleanser Daily Foaming Wash and Peace Out Microneedling Anti-Wrinkle Retinol Patches null  - they don’t work over night and you have to use them pretty frequently to notice results, but I’ve recently discovered you can use them a few times (3ish) before you have to toss them. Rose hip oil is my holy grail and helps keep all the wrinkles at bay, it’s great for hydration/moisturizing, on top of that I use The INKEY List Hyaluronic Acid Hydrating Serum 1/30  the two of them keep my skin hydrated and plump, so with the micro needle patches and the serums+oil it gives the illusion of fewer, shallower, lines. Sun screen is a must, I prefer a a mineral sunscreen like Josie Maran Get Even Sun Milk SPF 33 2 oz/ 60 mL . Best advice I could give is keep your routine simple. Over complicating is 1) V expensive 2) overwhelming - get your base routine and fave products, and build from there. Welcome to the skincare cult. We have fun here.

Also, if you do decide to use the rose hip oil trick, put that on first after you cleanse ( Drunk Elephant Beste™ No. 9 Jelly Cleanser 5 oz/ 150 mL ) and tone ( CLINIQUE Clarifying Face Lotion 2 Toner for Gentle Exfoliation of Dry Combination Skin ) Rose hip oil, then serum, then sunscreen.

Also, also, if you l have dry skin and wear makeup, put a few drops of oil on your skin before you cleanse (I’m using coconut oil right). The oil breaks down makeup, attracts extra gunk, then when you wash your face, it takes all the garbage with it, without stripping your skin - I’ve done that since 2017 and I won’t wash my face any other way.

Okay, no more “also”. Good luck and have fun ☺️

@blueocean3379 @Retinol can definitely help to an extent though I think it’s important to moderate expectations and also know that retinol is a long term solution - you really should expect to use it for several weeks or months before seeing results. You light like to check out Paula's Choice CLINICAL Anti-Aging 1% Retinol Treatment 1/30 or if you’re looking for a routine Kiehl's Since 1851 Hydrating Winter Wonders .

do note that retinol can be quite harsh so you should not use it every day if you are starting out and also be sure to moisturize well and wear spf outside

Re: Best products for forehead lines??

a lot of the time lines will be more pronounced due to dehydration.
Using hydrating and inclusive products tend to help, and then retinols will also help increase cell turn over and over time can reduce the look of lines.

inexpensive - the ordinary HA moisturizer is amazing. (I also have dry dry skin and in the winter this product sometime isn’t hydrating enough on it’s own so bare that in mind); the ordinary buffet is great, the copper peptides version is great for more mature skin as well; the inky list peptide moisturizer is amazing too!!

also the inky list retinol is a wonderful beginner retinol.

More pricy - the laneige water bank moisturizer is AMAZING, I prefer the cream to the gel; the skinfix line for eczema is great, especially during the winter months for us dry skin folks; the glow recipe redness relief is great because it had loads of ceramides. The drunk elephant retinol is pretty expensive but worth the splurge.
- if you live in the USA you should also have access to differin (usually can get it at target) this is a more potent form of retinol and it more effective, also cheaper.

Hydrating toners are also amazing, not a necessary step but helps with retaining moisture in the skin.

lastly, sunscreen will be your best friend when it comes to reducing the signs of aging. No it won’t fix what’s already there but it will make a huge impact in the long run!!!

i know this is long but I hope this helps!!! 🤍
