Best deep exfoliator for sensitive skin?

I have combo sensitive skin with rough texture from acne scars, and I was wondering what is the best exfoliator that you have used? I got a sample of the Kate Somerville exfolikate and for the three times I tried it it really smooth my skin out but it's $102 for full size...so any other suggestion is appreciated.

I suggest the Clinique City Block Purifying Charcoal Clay Mask + Scrub which can be used a leave on and then rise off mask for an exfoliating wash.

I also recommend the Peter Thomas Roth Pumpkin Enzyme Mask Enzymatic Dermal Resurfacer which helps gently resurface the skin and it also smells amazing (like pumpkin pie).

I second the PTR pumpkin enzyme mask. I've used Exfoli-kate many times, but recently switched because PTR leaves me smoother and it has less potentially irritating ingredients.

@Anonymous Chemical exfoliation will be the gentlest, and yet it is very effective.  AHA works on the outer layer, and is best for anti-aging and sun damage.  BHA works from the outside in, and is best for anti-acne.

If you are looking for a good scrub, I admit they are hard to find!  I personally think many are too gentle for me.  And, now many lines have changed their scrubbers from the plastic beads to more environmentally friendly methods.
