If you skin needs some serious moisture, try out First Aid Beauty's Ultra Repair Cream or Dr. Jart's Ceramidin cream in the morning and before bed. As a bonus, you can also try out some sleeping masks: Laneige's Water Sleeping Mask, Korres Wild Rose Sleeping Facial, or Glamglow's Thirsty Mud. Sheet masks are also a great choice. Ingredients like Vitamin E will also help combat the dryness in your skin. When I had terrible dryness 4 years ago, I was using a Vitamin E oil from The Body Shop and that helped eliminate dry patches and the flaky forehead I had. If your face wash is drying you out, I also suggest trying Korres Greek Yogurt cleanser which will be gentle on your skin.
I started using La Mer last winter and it changed my skin! It is pretty expensive, so I usually buy a little one and put it on dry areas, and my whole face twice a week to make the product last longer. When I don't use La Mer, I use the Fresh deep moisturizing rose product, works pretty well.
I totally agree! My dry patches didn't start getting better until I added a gentle toner and serum to the routine - toner to clear dead cells before adding moisture.
I have combination skin that varies between extremes throughout the year. I find Farmacy products to be pretty emollient. I recently picked up the honey drop moisturizer recently and love this! It is great for when my skin needs tgat extra bit of moisture. I also think the night balm would be really great for someone with dry skin. For a combination girl thougg, it leaves my skin a bit more on the oily side 😞
I love Loccitane light comforting cream for the day and Laneige water bank moisturizing cream for night
@crystaldao I swear by CeraVe PM for daily use. When I need something extra, I reach for my Clinique Smart Treatment Oil. Good luck! I'm sure you will find that works for you soon enough!
I have struggled with dry skin for as long as I can remember. A few of my favorite things as of late are:
- Tatcha Dewy Skin Mist: I just started using this about a month ago. I give my face one spray right after I was my face and wow, what a difference. I am actually so shocked that I can see visible improvement in my skins hydration.
- Sunday Riley Tidal: Love this because of the Hyaluronic acid in it. Its wonderful. Favorite way to apply is to day a large pea sized amount on my face, dampen my fingers in warm water (or spray my LUSH rose toner all over) and massage it into my face.
- Algenist Absolute Hydration Sleeping Pack: one word, AMAZING.
- Tatcha Dewy Skin Concentrate: Just started using it and surprised at how well it works. Haven't used it long enough to know if it will stick around. But so far, really enjoying it.
A few others are: PTR Water Drench Moisturizer, PTR Mega Rich Cream, any overnight sleeping pack and I am obsessed with the Dr. Jart+ Water Replenishment Mask ❤️
Hope this helps!
Oh man I have dry skin too and I am already bracing myself for winter lol. Have you tried the First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair cream yet? https://www.sephora.com/product/ultra-repair-cream-intense-hydration-P248407?skuId=1217744&icid2=fir...
It is so moisturizing! When my skin can't find relief I always go back to this product.
Also, have you tried adding oils to your routine?
