Any recommendations?

I have extremely dry, sensitive skin along with rosacea. I was just wondering if anybody has recommendations for skin care products? I’m trying to take better care of my skin, and have a bragger beauty regiment. Thank you in advance.

Re: Any recommendations?

Hi @morganrea! I think it's great that you are taking better care of your skin. It takes time to find a skincare routine that works well with your skin, but you'll get there. With sensitive skin and rosacea, it's best to keep your routine on the simple side. It's not necessary to have a lot of steps or products; more important to find ones that give your skin the TLC it needs. It's important to slowly try out / incorporate the various fans Here are some products you might want to look into.

For an evening skincare routine, I think a cleanser, hydrating serum, moisturizer and face oil is a good way to go.

1. Cleanser: You'll want a gentle but effective and hydrating cleanser, something like either Eminence Calm Skin Chamomile Cleanser or Cerave Hydrating Facial Cleanser. If you wear mascara or eye makeup, Bioderma makes a lovely micellar water for sensitive skin (pink cap) that's great at removing eye makeup but also gentle on the eyes.

2. Hydrating serum: Indeed Labs Hydraluron Moisture Serum (you can find it at Ulta or Walgreens) or Drunk Elephant B-Hydra™ Intensive Hydration Serum with Hyaluronic Acid 1.69 oz/50 ml or The INKEY List Hyaluronic Acid (HA) Hydrating Face Serum 1 oz/ 30 mL

3. Moisturizer: Dr. Jart's ceramidin line is geared towards those with very, very dry skin. A moisturizer worth trying is the DR. JART+ - Ceramidin™ Cream. Likewise, La Roche Posay Toleriane Double Repair Face Moisturizer is also great.

4. Face Oil: there are a few different ways you can use or introduce face oil into the routine, either before applying your moisturizer or after that step, or adding a drop or two of the face oil into your moisturizer and then applying to skin. The Ordinary 100% Organic Cold-Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil for Skin Elascicity 1 oz/ 30 mL is a favorite - it does wonders for dry skin.

Your morning skincare routine can include all of the products from your evening routine, except the cleanser step, but you'll also want to add a sunblock. With rosacea, a physcial sunscreen may be the preferred route. EltaMD UV Clear Broad-Spectrum SPF 46 is a nice one - goes on clear, is gentle, and doesn't aggravate rosacea.

RE: Any recommendations?

@morganrea I second the recommendations for FAB and Dr. Jart. Another brand worth looking at is Innisfree and Fresh. With dry sensitive skin, I notice that ingredients such as rose and green tea help my skin.

It works

I experience this as well and I recommend FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair® Cream Intense Hydration

RE: Any recommendations?

I second the Dr Jart Ceramidin. I use Drunk Elephant Marula Oil then top with the Ceramidin Cream.

Re: Any recommendations?

Dr. Jart's Ceramidin Cream is great for sensitive skin. It is also very hydrating because of the hyaluronic acid and other ingredients. I recommend that you try it!
