Alpha-Beta peel pads

I really wanted to love the Dr. Dennis Gross Alpha-Beta peel pads, but they have been making my skin break out terribly! I used them for over a month, hoping it was a “purging” phase.. but know my skin is worse then it’s ever been. Any tip or suggestions to clear my skin up??

Re: Alpha-Beta peel pads

@valeriemarie9 I agree with other posters. It could be over exfoliation. For now stop using these peel pads and let your skin heal completely. If you aren’t used toof chemical exfoliant, you need to ease them slowly into your routine. Instead of going full on extra strength peels everyday, maybe start with gentle peel pads once a week and then gradually increase it to every other day. Once your skin adopt them, you can decide if you want to increase the strength and frequency anymore.

For now just stop using the peels and any other products with AHA/ BHA , retinol or any other strong active ingredients in your routine and use calming and Hydrating products only.

Re: Alpha-Beta peel pads

You're probably over exfoliating. I would discontinue use. Your skin should have adjusted by now. As far as clearing it back up, go back to your usual skincare routine and make sure to use a good bit of moisturizer until it goes back to normal.

Re: Alpha-Beta peel pads

@valeriemarie9  How often have you been using them and in conjunction with what other products? You're right in that if it was a purge, you would not be experiencing it for this long so it may just be a reaction and you should discontinue use. It could also be over-exfoliation.
