Algenist Liquid Collagen

Has anybody used the algenist liquid Collagen? Where do you fit it into your regimen? I currently rotate between using these actives: Sunday Riley Luna Oil (retinol), Drunk Elephant C Firma (vitamin c), Drunk Elephant Hydra B, Sunday Riley Good Genes (lactic) and Drunk Elephant Framboo (Glycolic) All depending on what my skin needs

what would this serum pair best with or between which steps would I apply so that it is most effective

Algenist Liquid Collagen

I just started using it and have just been applying it under my gel lotion. so far i'm very pleased with the results! Am looking to add in my Sunday Riley retinol in there as well, maybe switch it each day.. Anyway this photo is after using it just twice.

Hi @hannahshrontz

We use some of the same products - DE Framboos, Sunday Riley Good Genes. I rotate one night DE, the next Sunday Riley. I use Algenist Liquid Collagen both morning and night - my skin has never looked better.

Re: Algenist Liquid Collagen

Do you use your AHA before or after this serum (:

do you use vitamin c as well?

Re: Algenist Liquid Collagen

@hannahshrontz

I put my AHA's on then my Collagen followed by my moisturizer (DE La La Retro).

My skin doesn't particularly like Vitamin C unless it's in the form of a mask that I rinse off. So I don't incorporate a Vitamin C serum into my routine.

Re: Algenist Liquid Collagen

Hi @hannahshrontz!

I currently use Algenist Liquid Collagen on a nightly basis.  I use it after my Caudalie Polyphenols Vitamin C serum.  They pair up nicely.  I've also used it after Caudalie's Brightening Essence which contains a little glycolic.  My skin can get a little sensitive so at first I did have a reaction where little bumps showed up but now my skin is used to it and I don't have that reaction.  You may want to try it after the glycolic.

Another thing you can try is from thinnest to thickest.  For example, first the liquid collagen and then Luna Oil and then try it the other way around.

I do top off my liquid collagen sometimes with Caudalie's Overnight Oil and it works well but it's not a retinol.  It may be bets to use a retinol oil first and then the liquid collagen?  Not sure, I think it will depend on how your skin reacts.  You will probably want to wait some time in between applications to ensure that your skin absorbs the active first and then follow it up with another one.

I hope you find this helpful!
