Acne

Is there anybody who has a really good product to help without acne

Re: Acne

You can use a chemical exfoliating treatment that contains salicylic acid like Paula’s Choice BHA Liquid Exfoliant or The Ordinary Salicylic Acid Exfoliating Acne Solution. You can also use a cleanser with ingredients that can help to fight acne like salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide. The Inky List has cleaners with both of these ingredients. Or you can look for Cerave or Panoxyl in stores. I personally opt for a gentle cleansing approach and double cleanse starting with an oil cleanser. I use Sulwhasoo Gentle Oil Cleanser but there are other really good oil cleansers out there for lower prices and for my second cleanse I use the Youth to the People Superfood Cleanser but the gentle foaming cleanser from Cerave is also a great alternative. For me, the active ingredient that really helped with my acne was retinol. I started with the lowest strength of The Ordinary Retinol in Squalane and worked my way up to the highest strength daily. Then once my skin had adapted, I got a prescription from my doctor for Tretinoin. I worked my way up with Tret and I no longer experience breakouts and have the clearest skin I’ve had in a decade. Tret also helps with anti-aging. Just make sure you don’t go over board with the active ingredients and don’t mix them at first. Pick one and stay the course. With retinoids you might go through a purging period where your skin seems to be getting worse, but keep going and you’ll see amazing results. It’s super important to moisture your skin when using ingredients like these because they will dry and peel your skin, even with acne and oily skin. I really like Skinfix Barrier + moisturizer but I also use Cerave Renewing Night Cream. If you’re super oily it might be better for you to opt for a lighter or gel formula. Skinfix also has a lighter moisturizer with niacinamide that I’ve used and love as well. And don’t forget sunscreen! It’s so important to protect your skin and help with darkening any dark spots leftover from acne. The thing that’s going to help you the most here is consistency. Finding a routine that your skin likes and sticking to it. Keep it basic. Cleanse, treat, moisturize and sunscreen (skip the sunscreen at night). And if you’re dealing with the inflammation and irritation look for masks or moisturizers that promote soothing and skin barrier repair or protection with ingredients like aloe vera, camomile, green tea, ceramides, centella asiatica, niacinamide, allantoin, and panthenol.
